Ik snap wat je bedoelt, maar ik weet niet zeker of ik het hiermee eens ben.

Alhoewel OSM "Map what's on the ground" toepast is dit best een vage uitdrukking, en kan je als community tot op zekere hoogte natuurlijk zelf die grens trekken. Ondergrondse parkeergarages, tunnels en zelfs hele metronetwerken staan ook gewoon in OSM, en daarnaast bestaan de tags voor deze ondergrondse elektriciteitskabels gewoon in OSM.

Voor iedereen die grondwerk gaat doen zou ik idd geen OSM gebruiken maar moet volgensmij altijd gewoon een Klic-melding gedaan worden.

Maar voor bv. iets als openinframap.org/ is het heel mooi om een goed overzicht te hebben van het elektriciteitsnetwerk, en projecten als https://mapyourgrid.org/ hebben er ook profijt van als alles in 1 centrale database wordt gemapped (OSM dus).

Maar nogmaals, ik snap wat je bedoelt dus voordat ik hier verder aan ga mappen zal ik eerst een discussie openen op het forum wanneer ik daar even de tijd voor kan nemen.

My apologies, the iD editor was giving a warning that it should be updated to operator:type=government, so I assumed the tagging scheme had changed and the operator:type=public should be changed into operator:type=government. But seems like the iD validator is giving a false suggestion in this case when I read the wiki page.

I should've looked more into it instead of believing the warnings in the iD editor, thanks for your attentiveness.

Er wordt alleen gekeken naar junctions die minder dan 50cm van elkaar af liggen, dus het voorbeeld dat je geeft zal gelukkig nooit voorkomen als task.

Ook wordt elke taak individueel beoordeeld om te kijken of het wel gepast is om deze samen te voegen, en dit wordt alleen gedaan als deze dezelfde as volgen.

Als ik naar dit geval kijk moet ik eerlijk gezegd zeggen dat ik maar weinig verschil zie en niet denk dat het verkeerd is dat deze zijn samengevoegd.

I'm pretty sure that the standard practice in the US is to have the Address on the building outline if available.
Perhaps it would be good to merge these new outlines with the already existing addresses too.

Thanks for your response, these turn roads/land access roads for farmers to access land are correct to be mapped as highway=track according to the osm wiki. highway=track

If there is an issue of vehicles getting stuck on the tracks due to faulty routing, it is probably a good practice to add access=private tags to the tracks that are on private property. Or a combination of surface=unpaved/surface=dirt and smoothness=very_bad that could be taken into account by the routing software.

Hi, I'm only reading this changeset comment now, but I drew this by hand and this was not drawn by AI, and definitely not an import.

I tried my best to be as accurate as possible, but that's pretty hard with the available imagery, but I think I did a relatively good job?

If not, could you please point me to what I did wrong and how I could improve this when mapping in Hanoi next time?

In your recent changes you have removed quite a lot of tracks from which a great chunck is still visible on Satellite imagery and have recently still been in use.

Could you explain why you have removed all these tracks? because I don't think they should've all been removed.

Would you agree with me reverting your changes?
I and some others would be willing to go over the tracks to correct some that might need to be re-aligned or removed anyways.
