Thank you. I have been trying to work out where public_footpath etc come from. Designation doesn't come up prominently in iD. I'll go back and try to sort it out. This changeset also highlights another problem, that level crossing options seem to include only barriers, not gates, whether powered, manually operated or pedestrian operated.
