Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

The tag oneway=no is implied in the absence of any oneway tag, so no need for oneway=no.

Hello, You somehow placed the gate on the main highway thus disrupting routing. So I've moved the gate onto the service road where I think you meant it to be. Please be careful not to interfere with routing when you amend the database as thousands of map compilers depend on correct data.

No problem now, Regards Bernard.

Hello, Your tagging of Way: 565066897 as highway=path is mostly incorrect.

This line was added untagged 4 years ago by a mapper that uploaded one changeset. As far as I can see they were trying to map a personal walking route "Walking route Bryn SM to Corwen". There are many mistakes in the way the route is mapped. The way crosses over many other highways without joining. It is also in places is mapped on top of existing highways. The warnings above show that making this a highway results in 13 crossing highways and 2 crossing highway waterways. Thus I've removed the highway=path tag.

There are some sections of this 16km way that are footpaths. So what's needed is for someone to look at the whole of the way and make amendments to suit what's on the ground. Could you do this please or should I have a go?

Please don't add or change tags without first having a proper assessment of what will happen or might change.
Regards Bernard.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Could you please say what local knowledge you have to justify the status of access of this highway as bicycle=yes and horse=yes? The reason I ask is that the legal status of this highway (from the borough website) is of Public Footpath. Which would normally mean horse riding and cycling are not statutorily allowed, though there could be private or permissive access.

I've added the tags designation=public_footpath, foot=designated and prow_ref=Bisham FP 20

Hi, OK changed the tag to amenity=restaurant;bar so a name search can be combined with either restaurant or bar.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

If the features are not open and verifiable then they should not be tagged as such. You could use construction or proposed tags to better describe the features.

Need any help please just ask, Regards Bernard.

Hi, You've almost fixed it. I've just now transferred all the POI data to the building outline. I've amended the opening hours, (midnight is 24:00 rather than 00:00). I've also resolved the two notes that maybe you placed asking for the Teapot to be added to OSM.

One thing I'm not clear about, is there actually a brewery onsite? If not that tag ought be removed. If so is it the same business?

Regards Bernard.

By the way, I've corrected the postcode. Please look at the opening times, their not presented as per OSM practice, please see:- opening_hours=*

The hours posted on OSM don't match those on the website.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

I see you've placed the restaurant POI within the building that's tagged as Style Kitchens. Has Style Kitchens been replaced by the restaurant? If so the kitchen business should be removed. Your POI tags can then go on the building outline.

Need any help please just ask, Regards Bernard.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

I think you inadvertently removed a node from an admin boundary. I've reinstated the node.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Nice to see someone new adding footpaths. Just a few pointers hope you don't mind. Please try not to join highways on to other features, it's not good practice and makes future editing more difficult. You've joined paths to landuse outlines and to power lines. No problem though I've corrected those few anomalies and added PRoW tags. Please have a look at my edits and maybe this will help in your future edits.

Need any help please just ask. Regards Bernard.

Hi, You've mapped MDR 131 on to of existing highways making duplication that disrupts routing. Are you sure this is a oneway, single carriage, motorway?

Would you please remove the MDR 131 and if necessary amend the existing highways as per OSM best practice.

Regards Bernard.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Generally, your mapping of the areas is very good, with just a few problems with the tagging.

May I point out OSM guidance on mapping golf courses, please see here:- leisure=golf_course . It is pointed out that grass areas are surface=grass, the landuse is not to grow a crop of grass. Bunkers are surface=sand, the sand is not usually a natural occurrence.

There are a few more problems with paths, duplicated, unjoined and connected to area outlines. There are warnings for this changeset above.

The multipolygon for the course is not needed as it's a single polygon.

I'll try to make a few corrections. If you need any help please just ask.

Hello Tom, No problem and I'm glad to help.
If you think you're going to do a lot of OSM editing the editor to use is JOSM, it takes a while to get the hang of it but it is far superior to any other OSM editor. With JOSM you can zoom right in till that stile fills the screen. It's easy then to see anomalies.

Hi, I can understand what you are trying to do but as I said above features added to OSM must be on the ground features and verifiable to everyone. I don't think there is any on the ground feature at these two points that can be added to the OSM database. Thus the tags ought be removed.

I don't use Strava but from reading this page:- https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/216918387-Routes-on-Web
I think they are saying that personal routes and waypoints can be compiled and saved on the Strava app. They do say you can improve and/or add data to OSM, but unfortunately, they omit to state that all new data must comply with OSM practices. Sorry but your data isn't verifiable.

If you're OK with this explanation I can easily remove the POIs and if I can help further please just ask.

Regards Bernard.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Unfortunately, your staggering of the path resulted in two duplicated sections of the path. No problem though I've split up and removed the duplicate sections.

Regards Bernard.
