about 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Are you sure this is Walgreens and not the church building. There's another building just eastwards that could be Walgreens, (I've now drawn it in). What do you think? Regards Bernard.
about 4 years ago | No response so I've removed the duplication, updated existing highways for new info.
about 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. There are problems with the footpath you've added. It crosses and joins several other highways in a haphazard way, in part it is duplication. It being very much incorrect and disrupting routing I've removed it. Could you explain what you were trying to do? Maybe I can help? Please ask if you need help or advice. Regards Bernard.
about 4 years ago | Please resist all capital letters in names.
about 4 years ago | Hi, Seasons Greetings and Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I've removed your Station Road as it duplicates an existing highway and is somewhat erratically drawn. Also, could you please refrain from using all capitals in names and descriptions, it is incorrect and considered as shouting, which you may not realise is very impolite! Regards Bernard.
about 4 years ago | Me again, you might like to consider making the walk into a route. Again need help please just ask. Regards Bernard
about 4 years ago | Hi, You've placed the whole of this section of path Way: Eamon a Chnoic loop (993431869) on top of existing highways, making duplication and disrupting routing. If a way needs amending/correcting it's OSM practice to amend the existing way. Thus your new way ought be removed and the existing ways amended/corrected. If you need any help please just ask. Regards Bernard.
about 4 years ago | Hello, Please don't add back the tags landuse=grass and natural=sand as they are incorrect. The use of this land is playing golf not growing grass. The sand in the bunkers is not a natural feature. Hence the surface=? tags. Regards Bernard.
about 4 years ago | Hello, All these footpaths that you've recently drawn do not really look like footpaths. They do however look like field outlines. Could you please verify that they are actually footpaths? If they are footpaths then you have duplicated many of them. Please see here:- http://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=routing&lon=86.67224&lat=20.52866&zoom=17 Also, much of the unclassified highway looks like a canal with tracks on either side of it. Is this really all a highway? I await your response, Regards Bernard.
about 4 years ago | Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap. Unfortunately this is not drawn as a roundabout, and your edit has dragged the existing highways out of alignment which corrupts proper routing. Thus I've reverted the changeset. If you need help please just ask. Regards Bernard.
about 4 years ago | Hi, It's surface=grass for the grassed areas as the landuse is a sport not growing grass, actually, the cut grass is usually thrown away. Bunkers are surface=sand rather than natural=sand. It would be very unusual and unknown to a passerby if the sand was a natural occurrence. Thus I've made a few amendments. Regards Bernard.
about 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. This looks like an online business, OSM only accepts physical, verifiable, on-the-ground features. The website does not seem to show any physical address, certainly no link to London where the POI is situated. For these reasons, I've removed the POI. If you need any help please just ask. Regards Bernard.
about 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I've removed the restaurant building area as it's only part of that building. I placed a POI with your info as the restaurant. I've also tweaked the opening hours tag to suit OSM practice. Regards Bernard.
| 114938600 | about 4 years ago | Hi, Same as with the bridge, only one highway along any given line. Split the original highway where the designation/description changes. The section of highway is tagged to its highest status (highway=service + service=driveway) then the other tags are added indicating the other uses (public_footpath, foot designated). Another example, a section of farm track with a public bridleway could be tagged as access=agricultural
I hope this helps and you can understand it, any more questions feel free to ask. Regards Bernard. |
about 4 years ago | Hi, I've reinstated a proposed highway that you somehow deleted as I think the deletion was inadvertent. Regards Bernard.
about 4 years ago | Hi, I just wanted to let you know that when a bridge is added to a highway you need to remove (section off and cut out) the piece of path that the bridge is replacing. Otherwise as in the case here you're making duplicated highways, which messes with routing. No problem now though, I've removed three duplicate sections of path. all the Best, Regards Bernard.
about 4 years ago | Hi, please be careful not to join landuse areas to highways because in this edit you joined Way: 1012473487 to the A98 Way: 370615054 and dragged the A98 out of line making a self-intersection to it. I've corrected the self intersection of the A98 and unjoined some areas from the road center line. Regards Bernard.
about 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I've redrawn the building as you had it over the whole site. Is it really a school or a community center? Could you point to a website so I can add more details, please? Anyway, if it's not a school then that tag should be amended. Regards Bernard.
about 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I've removed the new building outline because it was duplicating an existing building and also drawn over the car park. It looks like your business occupies only part of the building, so I've added a POI with your business info. Regards Bernard.
about 4 years ago | Hi, Uploading temporary stuff to OSM is wrong and not allowed. OSM is a database for compiling maps, anyone downloading your temporary data will have corrupt data on their complied map. You can make test/temporary mapping with the JOSM editor without uploading it. This can be done with JOSM completely offline, saved offline to your PC so you can use the temporary data as you wish. Regards Bernard.
