Hi, Your new path, Way: CCDT path 1 (758366411) has been placed on top of an existing way, thus making a duplication of highways which will disrupt routing. Further you tag the new way as a footpath accessible by cycles and horses which seems a bit odd.

It is OSM practice to correct/amend existing ways rather than remove or map over existing ways, this is in order to maintain the history of changes on any particular way.

Could you please rectify the above anomalies. If you need any help please just ask.

Regards Bernard.

Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

A couple of points.
William Herschel's Telescope is of great historical merit therefore I've reinstated the historic tag.
There is a fee for entering the Great Equatorial Telescope building therefore I've changed access=public to access=customers. Adding fee=yes.

Hi, the name for a POI historic=wreck should be the name of the wrecked vessel. I doubt these four wrecks were formally named Wrecks. In the absence of the formal name no fictitious name should be added. I think you are adding a name for the sake of rendering some script. It is wrong to map for the render especially when obviously incorrect information is added.

Hi, I removed Way: 757344531 because id duplicated an existing highway. If you are local and know the way should be corrected then please amend the existing highway. Thus you will keep all history and not make duplications.

Hi, you inadvertently dragged the building out of shape. I've repaired it for you.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
Unfortunately, you have duplicated (added twice) a POI attraction. This attraction is already mapped on a node in the middle of the bridge near to a viewpoint with the same name.
Thus I have removed your duplicates.
The tag name:pt=tower bride is in English so is not a proper Portuguese name, therefore, it shouldn't be used.

Thank you for the changes. I've now tagged that untagged way as a path and joined several unjoined crossing ways.

Hi, I removed the power pole from the drain putting it on the power line.

Hi, Most of the sections of Gran Via that you edited in this changeset are now duplicated. Unfortunately there are many relations, routes and boundaries involved. These duplications are incorrect, (there are not two highways on the same line). The integrity of every relation is also in doubt.

Could you please go back and remove your duplication and repair the relations?

Thanks Bernard.

Hi, adding areas tagged as merely place=neighbourhood is meaningless to OSM. The areas should be named and described or removed.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
I removed your two unnecessary multipolygons and amended the two buildings.

Hi, it is OSM practice to amend/correct what is already mapped rather than delete and redraw. Thus the history of the original mapping is kept along with your corrections.

In this case the school area outline should have been corrected instead of deleted.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
Just a few pointers. The correct tag for Way: Bernardo (332010844) is building=residential, you are describing the building, not the land the building sits upon. I have amended this.
Regarding Way: Flash Media (330878525), in OSM the term works is used to denote an industrial production plant, also known as a factory. If this is the case then the building should be tagged building=industrial. Could you amend this if necessary?
Regarding Node: Aler's (7010442854), is the scrapyard housed in the building? If so then the building should be tagged rather that a POI. Again with building=industrial rather than landuse=industrial. Could you amend this if necessary?

Hi Jbs,
Thanks for your response. All features that are verifiable on the ground can and are mapped in OSM. OSM is a ground truth no matter anything else.
As per your input I've changed the way from track to service, added the gate, tagged the gate and way as access=private.

Regards Bernard

Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Somehow after your track name change you inadvertently deleted the track. I've reverted the change as there is a track there. The way's history says the name was added from local knowledge.

Please be careful not to delete anything. If something needs changing please change what is already there thus keeping all history intact.

Please don't let this put you off contributing to OSM, need any help just ask.
Regards Bernard.

Way: 752756962 looks unfinished and is untagged.

Hi, I moved a lot of area outlines off of highway center lines.

78408971 about 6 years ago

Hi again,
I see a section of highway, (Ladies Walk) is duplicated on top of a section of Dunes Road. It's a bit difficult to see as the outline for the common has been placed on the centreline of Dunes Road. Also Ladies Walk extends around an area of heath, this does not look right but may have been inadvertent as its on top of the heath outline.

Placing area outlines on the center lines of highways is not a good practice. It is difficult to see the individual features, difficult to separate the features and it's not usual for landcover features to extend to highway center lines. Your common, sand and heath areas would either include or exclude the highway, not end at the middle of the highway.

Theres a line Way: 754391913 from a different changeset that inadvertently is untagged.

Hi,
I was wondering if "Whins (Gorse) and Broom" is really the formal name for all these separated areas?
As Whin and Gorse are the same plant, and Broom is another plant could this be a description of the heath. Therefore would the areas be better tagged as natural=heath description=Whins (Gorse) and Broom.

Regards Bernard.
