Hi MarmiteMan,
The answer, if there is one would depend on the software or website you're looking at. It may be that your device/software is only supposed to show one layer of POI at a time. Or maybe POI are shown at differing zoom levels. What are you using?

All three features can be seen at the OpenPOIMap here :- https://tinyurl.com/vkygfl6 With OpenPOIMap you can select what features are flagged up.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
The cafe is already mapped, tagged on the building. Thus I've removed the duplication.
regards Bernard.

Hello, I just noticed that you've got a lot of address's on Moray Gardens duplicated. There are no even house numbers, odd numbers are duplicated.

Hi the village website (which I've added) refers to this area as a recreation ground. If it is locally known as a park it can be tagged as such. I added recreation ground as well.

Hello Richard,
I would imagine that all the paths were mapped in good faith. However I know from experience that it's difficult to precisely map forest paths that are not on open areas like fire breaks, that is, until there are several gpx traces. Even then a path position has to be averaged from the gpx traces. (The public gpx trace you uploaded is not available for some reason.)

Once you are sure of a paths position it may be noticed that an existing way may look out of place. That way could be moved, amended even retagged. Thus a history of mapping in the area is maintained. When I saw your duplicated way I looked at it's history, the history of the way it duplicated and the history of adjacent ways to get an idea of mapping in the larger area.

When you're sure a way no longer exists and could not be associated with an other way then by all means delete it. (Remember once a way is deleted the history is gone, the history can only be resurrected by reverting the changeset that removed it.) Leave a changeset comment to say the changes/deletions are made from an on the ground survey and GPS trace. Folk should realise then that you have first hand information.

Don't upload large changesets, it doesn't matter how many uploads you make. You can even upload each individual addition or deletion, that makes for much easier sorting out should anything go wrong.

Sorry for running on!
Regards Bernard.

Hello Richard,
That was another mapper removed the duplicates in this changeset :-changeset/78887463
I was waiting for you to respond before making corrections, (but other folk do things differently). Anyway no harm done, if you need help or advice just ask.

Hi Rskedgell,
Thanks for this help, I was going to map the country park properly but couldn't find an appropriate outline on-line.
There's now 4 incarnations of the trouble making pokomon player blocked.
Regards Bernard.

Hi,
The buildings in this changeset do not appear on the Bing imagery you seem to have used.
Further I see a great many buildings, parks and wetlands you've mapped that are not on Bing imagery. Features on OSM must be verifiable, can you state the true source of your information please?
If these features are fiction please remove them.
Regards Bernard

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
You inadvertently dragged an address node out of place joining it to a highway, I've corrected this for you. No harm done but please be careful not to upload unintentional changes.
The business POI is OK with a minor amendment.
Regards Bernard.

Hi, Again many untagged ways here, please tag or remove them.
Regards Bernard.

Hi, You've drawn a lot of untagged lines in this changeset. If you can't properly tag them then please remove them. They serve no purpose to OSM like this.
Regards Bernard.

Nobody disputes it's a park. It is part of a larger country park (Queens Park Country Park).
Please do not continue to remove the tag landuse=grass which describes the ground cover. This manner of tagging is to OSM practice.
Your change not being necessary or correct has been reverted.

78969472 about 6 years ago

I have reverted your changes to reflect the footpath between the garden and the road. Your mapping is not very accurate, please do not continue in this manner. Thank you.

Fiction reverted.
I now see that this adding of fiction has been tried before. Please desist, you risk being blocked again.
Regards Bernard.

Hi, I reinstated the landuse tags you removed and remove duplicated name tags.
Also adjusted the area of garden.

78944435 about 6 years ago

I tagged it sport=multi.

78944410 about 6 years ago

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
Thanks for adding the name and descriptions, however it was not correct to remove the land use/cover descriptions. An area can have several description tags all of which are OK as long as they're not conflicting and refer specifically to the mapped area.
Therefore I've reinstated the descriptive tags you removed.

Regards Bernard.

The historic tag for the castle is on the Palace multipolygon.

78936623 about 6 years ago

Oh dear, there's no castle there. I'm afraid you'll be taken to the tower to await your fate.
In the meantime, I've removed your fiction.

78818622 about 6 years ago

Hi, your fiction has been removed. If you need help adding genuine features please just ask.
