You also dragged a waterway out of alignment which I've corrected.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Something went wrong here! You mention the Ouse Fen Reserve which is already mapped yet you tag the area you added as residential. As this can't be correct I've removed your mapped area. Need any help please just ask.

Regards Bernard.

Hello,
As you've added a new roundabout at the crossroads should the crossroad junction now be removed? If so then the route relations should be adjusted as well.

As you seem to be fairly local to the area can you do the amendments? Or shall I have a go?

Regards Bernard.

Hi Ratrun, Sorry about that problem, and thanks for letting me know about it. I've no idea how it happened, I would never have knowingly left things like that. Something strange happened because I couldn't revert the changeset, to many conflicts. Anyway It all looks good now, I've checked the route relations, they all seem OK.

Regards & Thanks Bernard.

Hi adiatmad, Thats a big question! It really depends on the router and wether you are routing for a vehicle, cycle or foot. A lot of vehicle routers will route along a road no matter what. So the quality of the software is a main concern.

The lack of a layer tag on a bridge or tunnel. Hedges, walls or buildings across highways. Misuse of the oneway tag. Incorrect turn restrictions. Just a few problems there.

Hi, You've placed some hedges across highways so I've removed them.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

I've removed the self-intersecting section of the area way joining the two car parks.

I also tweaked the tags to OSM practice.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Your fictional highways have been removed. Please don't do this as it disrupts routing.

The duplicated highway was removed.

149038439 almost 2 years ago

Hi, All of the highways you added were duplicating existing highways. I've removed them as they disrupt routing. If a way needs amending it's OSM practice to amend the existing way.

Hi, These are very strangly shaped buildings, not at all like the imagery. You can easily square building up. Left-click the outline, click the square icon, third one down. The shape must be fairly square to start with.

Hi, All the new roads you added are duplications which I've removed. Duplicated highways disrupt routing, please be careful not to duplicate highways.

Hi, It's more common for building angles to be fairly square. Angles can easily be squared up with the iD editor. To "Square all corners" left click on the outline and select/click the square shaped icon, (third one down).

Hi, Duplicated highways were removed as per the previous review. Please amend the existing highway if it is needed.

Hello, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Review, you've placed these four footpaths on top of existing highways (roads). It's not correct to have highways on top of each other it disrupts routing. If a way needs correcting it's OSM practice to amend/correct the existing way, thus keeping history of way changes. In the case of these duplications I assume you wanted to state that pedestrian use was allowed on these roads. It is usually implied that pedestrians in the absence of a restriction can use a residential or unclassified highway. If it were not so you could merely add the tag foot=yes to the road, no need for a footpath.

Thus I've removed the four footpaths, you can add foot=yes to the roads if you think it is necessary.

Hi, The wood area Way: 1265432899 doesn't really extend over several highways, that would make driving very difficult. Nor would the outline be a self-intersecting line. So I've made slight amendments.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

I've placed the park tag on the area Way: Chiltern Green (50827525).

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

I just wanted to let you know that in most circumstances (like this) in the absence of a oneway tag, it is assumed and implied that the highway is not oneway. Thus in this situation, oneway=no is not needed, it can be removed.

Hi, Sorry to have to say that there's lots of mapping around here that is not to OSM best practice.

Incorrect house names, duplicated highways, highways not connected, Incorrect car park tagging, and many unnecessary nodes.

Hi, You've got a ferry route Way: 1263948817 on top of a highway Way: 1263948814 which cannot be correct. Was the ferry line supposed to be a bridge? Or is it a ferry, not a road? In any case the problem needs to be corrected.

Regards Bernard.
