| 119180150 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, Please be advised that your use of the layer tag on buildings is nullified because the building parts are joined. Please see here for advice on the use of the layer tag:- layer=* Specifically the statement "Joining the ways with a shared node at the point where they cross would destroy the vertical order established by layer." Regards Bernard. |
| 119035909 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I've made quite a few amendments here. Removed duplicate highways etc. Regards Bernard. |
| 118930122 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, I've squared up some of the buildings, squaring up is easy to do and makes for a neater map. Also tweaked lots of nodes, (joining and or removing). |
| 119089932 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I've amended the paths tags to show definitive public use, removing the access=no tag. The access=no tag indicates that there is no vehicular access at all, which isn't exactly right. I sectioned the public right of way up so the different accesses can be shown, foot only and agricultural vehicles. I've also added some hedges to show where the path runs. Please don't let this amendment put you off mapping, there's just a lot to learn.

| 119072922 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. The railway through the car park was tagged as abandoned:railway=rail
Thus I've reinstated the rail line and amended the tags as mentioned above. Regards Bernard. |
| 118869867 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, In fixing the dragged node you have now deleted the offending node. this deletion has disconnected the path, Way: 980657586 from the road Way: 980657589. This is not the way to reinstate the previous position of dragged nodes. You have to restore the dragged nodes position not delete it. I've reverted your changes and then reinstated the position of the dragged node. It is very easy to inadvertently make this sort of mistake so it's best to double-check for mistakes before uploading changes. Regards Bernard. |
| 118870692 | almost 4 years ago | I forgot to say that there are lots of single untagged nodes in the area these may be left from your deletions. |
| 119018781 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. The park is already mapped as an outline, Way: Postman's Park (170205758). Thus the POI is not needed. Regards Bernard. |
| 118870692 | almost 4 years ago | I now see there are some duplicated highways as well:- Way: 1043479442 and parts of Way: 49926940 |
| 118870692 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, Unfortunately, your edit to fix a dragged node has resulted in or left several other anomalies. dragged nodes, deleted boundaries, and lots of untagged unconnected single nodes. As well as the problems I mention this changeset also warns you above of 3 crossing_ways:highway-highway, 2 crossing_ways:highway-waterway and 1 disconnected_way:highway. These problems may not all be yours and could be on several changesets, but could you have a look at this please? Regards Bernard |
| 118917555 | almost 4 years ago | Don't be silly. Junction removed. |
| 118808980 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
I've also squared up the buildings and amended the name to addr:number as a building would have a name or a number. Name and number are two different things, a number is not usually a name. Please inform your tutor/trainer of these comments so they can have the knowledge to better instruct you. Regards Bernard. |
| 118888184 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, The grass doesn't extend to the center lines of highways. I've amended a few to show ground truth. Regards Bernard. |
| 118877749 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, Just to let you know there were three duplicate sections of path. I've removed the duplicated sections in my Changeset: 118897099 Regards Bernard. |
| 118870117 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, The only tutorial I can find is here:- https://tinyurl.com/3pcvbteb I don't think this would be very helpful to you though. The TGC-Designer-Tools seem to be directed mainly to the USA. I downloaded the tools and tutorial and could not make sense of anything. Anyway the tools and OSM are not linked, though the tools can draw data from OSM. Our problem here is to maintain the integrity of OSM and not alter/amend it for the sake of another product. The OSM data must be ground truth. I'm sorry but I can't help with the TGC-Designer-Tools. If you need help with OSM mapping I'd be glad to help. Regards Bernard. |
| 118870117 | almost 4 years ago | Hi,
I don't know what you were trying to achieve but please try not to accidentally upload fiction. Regards Bernard. |
| 118815442 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, I've just remove a lot more duplicated highways that you've added to the database. Could you please point out this problem to your tutor? Tell the tutor there are problems with duplicated highways that disrupt routing. It's not your fault! Please ask the tutor for correct instructions and training. Regards Bernard. |
| 118820119 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. A lot of your new highways are duplicated, replicated, or even quadrupled. Placing highways on top of highways seriously disrupts routing, please don't do this, seek advice. I've removed all the excess highways. Regards Bernard. |
| 118815388 | almost 4 years ago | Highway status amended. |
| 118814215 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, I've amended the status of these roads, they are definitely not trunk roads. Regards Bernard. |
