The name of the trail is Blood Hell.

I will be sure to let you know when an illegal campfire eventually burns down the cabin (we have already had one close call this winter).

There is a good reason why this structure and the dozens of other cabins in the area are kept off the maps: it only creates issues for the cabin stewards and the local land managers.

I have removed the cabin from OSM. We have had an ongoing issue with vandalism, material theft, and illegal campfires at the cabin. I hope you understand our caution with publicizing the location to a broader audience.

Error on my part. Bear Island is located directly south of the Seymour Falls Dam (the foot bridge crosses it).
