Now thats titanic amount of work!! I hope you used some kind of help to add those buildings (got’v data, rapid’s/microsoft’s buildings footprints…)

For a building with 4 nodes you’d add 2 new nodes somewhere, select them, and Alt+x to cut with knife

Terraced housing - there’s 2 tags, one is building=house, house=terraced, other is building=terrace for a block of terraced housing(check wiki in case I’m wrong). Generally separating them would be better, yes.
