over 3 years ago | I'm not familiar with the geology here to know which tag would be best, but osm.wiki/wiki/tag:natural=bare_rock is an option.
over 3 years ago | I wish iD had a utility to divide a changeset into two uploads, but really the only thing for it is to be disciplined in uploading often. It's good advice, in any case; thanks.
over 3 years ago | I just meant that the diversion channel is named after Interstate 40, which it parallels. So, the name's etymology is the ref 'I-40'. If you can think of a better way to express that, change it as you will.
over 3 years ago | a two-d edit, eh?
over 3 years ago | Thanks, I always forget about that tag.
over 3 years ago | Thanks. Probably a former multipolygon.
over 3 years ago | I trimmed back the one by the post office since it seems to actually be a kerb.
over 3 years ago | That's interesting about Kearny, do you have somewhere I could read more about it? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marines%27_Hymn#Lyrics seems to believe that verse has a different referent.
almost 4 years ago | Huh, there's more than one! node/9551917531
almost 4 years ago | Got it. Previously the value was pine;tree which is accurate but redundant and I'm not sure how many downstreams parse semicolons for that key.
almost 4 years ago | Yes, but I realised I selected the wrong brand preset. Will edit.
almost 4 years ago | Hi! It's better to mark the trail as private so that nobody accidentally recreates it. For more, see osm.wiki/Foundation/Local_Chapters/United_States/Trails_Working_Group and linked pages.
almost 4 years ago | Thank you.

about 4 years ago | Happy New Year, pyrog! Thanks for setting up a [wiki page](bubbleid=*) for the key. I'm not picky about the particular name, I just wanted some way to record the info to (as you say in the wiki page) source non-obvious data about map objects; it can be migrated to whichever key the community thinks is best (that'd be you since nobody else has contacted me about this yet). To retrieve the bubbleid, open the streetside view in iD and hover over the text in that pane that says "Report a privacy concern with this image"; it will link to a url that includes the string "?bubbleid=[the id]".
about 4 years ago | Sure. I didn't know that's where it was from at the time though, my friend just sent me a screenshot and coords and I tried to see if it was on any of the imagery iD had for the area. It wasn't of course, but I took the opportunity to do a minimal amount of mapping in the area.
about 4 years ago | Gotcha, sorry for messing it up and thanks for fixing it.
about 4 years ago | for the changeset: Just to change the name from 'anmial' to 'animal'. for the way: not sure, didn't make it...it may in fact be useless and worth deleting but I didn't want to be the one to make that call.
about 4 years ago | Fair.
about 4 years ago | Nice, are you aware of OpenDroneMap / OpenAerialMap? These make it easy to convert drone footage into tiled, orthorectified imagery consumable by iD or JOSM.
