Thanks for clarifying. I think I was trying to answer too literally using StreetComplete, but what you're saying is very clear now. I was also additionally confused by the fact that the lights were spread out quite irregularly so I wasn't sure. I found the OSM wiki pages that describe the convention, so I will correct those entries.

Thanks for this. I confess I am a bit confused. The entire East Boldre is inside New Forest National Park which is 40 miles an hour zone. There's a zone sign in front of the village with 30mph limit and the Main Road has 30mph road sign repeated throughout. Most of these side roads are not lit, though Chapel Lane is an exception. So I guess it should be all lit streets should

Also, I just read the wiki on building and I understand that semi-detached houses are also "house" when considered individually within a pair.
