I don't think backyard trampolines should be mapped. You can move them around at any time. It's like a soccer goal, I'd think. In the same vein, you wouldn't map an inflatable pool, but we map in-ground and in-deck pools.

An area is not a real thing in the OSM software. It's just a closed way as identified by iD. The real issue is that swimming_pool=water is an unrecognized tag. You should use leisure=swimming_pool instead.

access=private is more appropriate for such a situation. access=no is more for things like military installations and paths that are closed due to erosion. Garden variety prohibitions on trespassing should use private access instead.

I agree that hotels should be mapped as sites if they consist of more than one building.

In the meantime, one technique is to remove all the extra tags, then perform the dupe check. You can then purge the existing objects before uploading.
