I don't have access to any fresher imagery than what's made available to Apple Data Team, but, I believe there are no physical barriers, merely these lane separation chevrons are painted in red - and so, there's no need to physically separate these highways, when it's not likely a separated highways in reality.

Please take note of this: https://github.com/GRABOSM/Grab-Data/issues/59#issuecomment-692530410

You might want to switch to Maxar Premium imagery layer, in and around Kedah. It's from March 2021 (caveat: in some select places). Bing is from May 2020 and could even be older than that.

Hi again. The usual practice with multilingual names is if it's displayed on any visible signs (i.e. verifiable in reality), then it's OK. Otherwise, no translations (even in English) should be included.

Not sure when Facebook/Instagram etc will update their copy of maps from this website.

Anyway thank you for your additions :)

If it's going to help with navigation, route D110 doesn't connect with eastbound route 209, making the links very redundant.

Hello. Why a "painted barrier" is considered to split a physically undivided highway into two divided (dual carriageway) highway?

See https://github.com/GRABOSM/Grab-Data/issues/59#issuecomment-692530410

I see. No problem, I'll change these back again sooner or later.

Hello, and welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Straight to this: I've seen some highways around Aman Central was changed from "unclassified" highways to "residential" highways.

Examples:
1. https://pewu.github.io/osm-history/#/way/326097225

2. https://pewu.github.io/osm-history/#/way/392815931

and probably one or two others.

May I know the reason why these changes were made?

The "Lebuhraya Pantai Timur link to Gebeng" part is misleading, always check your comment before uploading

Silly me, this is meant to be commented as Armchair mapping efforts from street level imagery: readjusting position of Kampung Badang, approximated to be in between two highway signs - https://kartaview.org/details/3736157/127/track-info and https://kartaview.org/details/3763425/5/track-info

For those curious on these hashtags, I'm currently using SimpleTaskManager to make my life easier.

Reclassified highways and added/updated places

Be careful when performing re-aligning highways. Some non-highway objects are connected to parts of the highway, and somehow is mistakenly "hidden". So any objects tied to the highway should be aligned as well.

While the street names of these locations are purely extrapolation: northbound from Kampung Puteh junction and a bit southbound from Batu 4 junction.

The limits of non-local, remote mapping effort is obvious.

Can I say that I really hate the extrapolated residential landuse very much? It will overlap everything it went on its way.

Sorry, I've got to stop that up to Kelantan-Terengganu border. The residential landuse for the whole Kuala Besut town really gets in the way.

I will be happy to change it back, if more route codes are uncovered

I got suspicions federal route 189 replaces the state route T7...

Hi user:rah_em,

I have to disagree with the change of this street name:

https://osmlab.github.io/osm-deep-history/#/way/965198210

The street opposite to the left of it is mapped as Jalan Pukat 19/23A - unless there's solid evidence e.g. KartaView - logically it should be Jalan Pukat 19/23B instead, rather than Jalan Pukat Dua 19/23B.

Though I'll be happy to be proven otherwise.

Sorry to interrupt, but I would back up statements from user:Rippledot too. The shoplots are more likely to receive more traffic than, say, other nearby residential buildings. Logically it's not a residential highway (highway=residential - some would rather make tagging "consistent" across but in reality, it's something else). Considering its physical attributes, it's wider than the actual service highway, opposite from said a row of shoplots from imagery.
