The German project intents to not using any web-framework. They will use Mapilary. We should have a OSM Wiki page to compare the 3 (or more?) projects.

@Minh Nguyen Great hint. Culture cap! I just used the default trees of MY region. Palm trees grow about between the upper and lower latitudes of Afrika. So I have to create a Palm geometry and use it als default there. And if it is tagged, even as this is a great mess of variants. Wait for it.

@rene78 Well yes, there should be an editor. I consider to start one. Usable in AR devices to see the real building behind the OSM mesh … - just dreaming. But not for really complex things, like the London Eye. GLB-Files should be used there.

OSM, unlike Google does not habdle actual roadwork. Only >6 month are intendet.

An App could use oher souces to provide daily accuracy. But I don‘t expect there is an API somewere for all the roadworks or even accidents and yams.

Yes, the “Street” in OSM is historical and rather wrong now. We can’t rename it to OpenMap? There are a lot of trademarks, no-one knows the meaning: RTL BVB … So it’s no problem to use “OSM” without referencing to the full name. We should split our appearance. Two different Web portals with different functions:

• OpenStreetMap.org - for the Editing and Coding community
• OSM.org - for the Map/Data users

There also should be an OSM-App! (Android, iOS, Desktop) And the apps and osm.org should be alike, mostly. Ok, OSM only offers editors, no map use. But there are >2 FOOS apps, doing it: OrganicMaps, MapLibre, … Could we “merge” projects to an OSM-app? Or setup a new one, supported by the existing teams? Sure, redundant apps are needed. But >2 parents could merge the best genes to a better offspring.
