Well one week ago I read an article in a GIS magazine that Mc Donalds cooperate with Navteq to add all restaurants to their map. Would be nice if we would have imports of Burgerking or Subway xD

Das Problem ist, dass die alle auf blogs.openstreetmap.org erscheinen und ich weiß nicht ob da so die Relevanz für die ganze Community so hoch ist.

Wir hatten bei unserem Rostocker Stammtisch das Thema vorgestern auch. Leider gibt es aber soooo viele Präzedenzfälle (Fußweg nur teilweise passierbar, Fußweg nun auf Straße um Baustelle zu umgehen,...) dass es schwer ist einfach mit Construction zu taggen und die aktuelle Situation auszudrücken.
Darüber hinaus besteht das Problem der Aktualisierung in der Form, dass die Baustellen auch wieder entfernt werden.

Eine verbesserte Ausprägung des Tags und eine eigene Baustellen/Stau Karte wäre eine tolle Sache :D

But as you said I think professionals would make it very complicated just to get highly accurated results (that we doesn't need that way). Oh and I noticed that a lot of professional people have a very historic view on maps and how they should be drawn ;)

I do housenumbers, too. After time I noticed that it is better to write them down and to record a GPX just for uploading. http://walking-papers.org print it out b/w and write housenumbers in colours. Works fine for me :-)
