The Gazex® avalanche prevention system (Wikipedia (only in french)) is meant to remotely trigger a detonation for a small avalanche that would prevent bigger avalanches.

It is precisely described by its manufacturer and had already been mentioned over several pages:

It is composed of 3 distinct elements: the detonation pipes, the gas routing pipes and the building controlling the system:
