DescriptionVale of Rheidol Railway Embankment - geograph.org.uk - 729672.jpg
English: Vale of Rheidol Railway Embankment Here, an embankment carries the railway over the cwm formed by Nant-y-fawnog. The stream is carried under the railway by a culvert. Immediately below the left side of the embankment, but difficult to photograph, a waterfall plunges into the Rheidol, nearly 400 feet below. A public right of way footpath once crossed the embankment on the railway track as this was the only means by which walkers could cross the stream. An order made in 2002 diverted the path slightly upstream which it now crosses by means of a footbridge.
