Summary
DescriptionLeft drawbar slot Rothe House.jpg
English: Rothe House was built between 1594 and 1610, this building in 1610. This is the back door leading into the garden which ends at the City walls. It makes sense to have this door being secured. A wooden (probably oak) beam would have been used to secure the (also oak) door. This is the drawbar slot in which the beam was kept in peaceful situations. During the restoration in the 1990s, it was partly filled with cement, so that a demonstration with a beam is no longer possible.
