Dear Clinton,

As far as I can tell, the localities you've added, as listed in this link - http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/176z, are all duplicates.

Please confirm and fix them.

Best Regards,
Zeev

Hello

Please note that Ma'ale Adumim is already well mapped by node/282405648

Please avoid adding localities before checking their existence in the map, as was also done in changeset/104251735

Also, please review your latest additions of cities in the vicinity, and remove any duplicates you've created.

Best Regards,
Zeev

כן. יש שם חניון מוסדר. בעמוד ענן יש לו אפילו שם, אבל בשטח אין זכר ללוח ההנצחה שהיה שם

I visited the place and could not find a path at the edge of the area where I was.
I therefore removed the misleading path tag from way/620497439.

I have restored the path after a survey was done by the Yarok Balev NGO confirmed its existance.

The road has a dead end, so no change is required if the problem is not getting *through* it.

If there is no public access to the road, using a gate for example, then an "access=private" tag can be used if pedestrian access is not allowed, or a "motor_vehicle=private" tag if access is not allowed only for vehicles.

A road should be deleted only if it no longer exists.

I suggest you revert this change.

It seems like this driveway exists.

See https://www.govmap.gov.il/?c=201026.85,644938.16&z=10&b=2 for a detauiled aerial photo and its existance in the goverment's map.

Following our discuttion at changeset/100693305, I suggest that future removal of paths and roads from OSM will be done only when there are multiple reports or when there is additional evidence.

שלום ניר,

תודה על התיקונים והשיפורים שאתה מכניס למפות
OSM
ו
Israel Hiking!

הנוהג בישראל הוא להוסיף שמות של סיגנלים לתג
mtb:name
ולהשתמש בתג
name

Thanks for the clarification!
I've removed them.

Hi Gal,

One option is to use a "surface=unpaved" tag for unpaved paths and footways. See surface=*

Moovit can then choose how to handle them in your trip plans

Hi,

Are you sure about the existance of these tunnels?
In my last visit there, I was unable to stop near any of them.

I'm only certain that way/550720219 does not exist. The road is lower that the old track. If this section existed, it would have been a bridge...

100693305 almost 5 years ago

Hello Gal,

There is nothing urgent in resolving this.

I would be very interested in understanding how the Moovit trip plan wants to handle hiking trails and help to see how it can accomplished using the OSM tags.

100693305 almost 5 years ago

Hi Gal,

I mapped this hiking trail about 8 years ago. I don't know what is its condition now. In any case, this is a hiking trail, not a a paved road.

Can you clartify what is the source of your understanding? Did you visit the place, or did you get it as a report from a Moovit user?

Can you clarify if Moovit wants to route pedestrians though hiking trails. If not, how do you differentiate between hiking trails and other pedetsrian-only ways.

Best Regards,
Zeevc
