I wish I could have surveyed it !
I have traced it from DigitalGlobe Imagery (in construction) and reviewed some picture & some news to check construction's stage --> https://maliactu.net/mali-infrastructures-routieres-le-pont-de-kayo-nest-pas-encore-ouvert-au-trafic/

Unfortunately that guy didn't answer...
Thank you @MaunuKea for fixing these bad edits. I have also restored the residential landuse on that city --> relation/9103145

Hi Flo, sorry if I do not answer in german.
In fact I'm just trying to restore things like they were before.
way/26927517/history
An user "stadiaarcadia" has modified many stadiums around the world, but when he traces the buildings of the stadiums, he replaces the "leisure=stadium" tag with "building=stadium" tag, transfering all the attribute informations to the (new) building multipolygon and removing the "leisure" item.
If I'm right, the tagging scheme "building=stadium" is just a mean to precise the type of building. The important stuff is to have a "leisure=stadium" containing all the elements, the buildings & the pitch (eventualy the parkings & the accesses) as explained in the wiki.
You seems to think that I'm doing it wrong, could you give some precisions about it ?
Cheers --> zaizone

Hi stadiaarcadia, this stadium mapping is almost correct, but why did you overlay 2 elements at the same place way/141915072
way/664396967
One element could be enough, the outbound of the building (multipolygon) can also be the "leisure"="stadium" element. iD editor is not the best way to deal with overlaying elements, as it is very hard to select something underlaying.

Let me precise something, when reading the wiki about stadiums leisure=stadium we can note that "leisure"="stadium" tag don't have to be on a multipolygon because it is supposed to contain all the stadium facility, not only the buildings. So, if you have a closer look at the edits on "Estadio de los Carmenes" you will see that the "leisure"="stadium" tag was inappropriately attributed to the buildings only, even before stadiaarcadia's edits. My contributions were in order to fix this, but you can suggest a better way to do, I will be pleased to improve that area, and also my mapping techniques.
Gracias

Ola !
In fact, since a few days, I'm reviewing editions from a contributor "stadiaarcadia" about stadiums all over the world.
http://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-discussion-comments?uid=8570285
This guy has removed most of the "leisure"="stadium" tags to replace it by "building"="stadium" tags. It's a big problem because it removes many places from the leisure "collection".
In the case of "Estadio de Los Carmenes", I have just transfered the attribute informations (wikipedia, website...) to the outer bound of the stadium separating it from the "building"="stadium" item.

The name "Stade Olympique" was written like that for more than ten years now, created and reviewed by locals. Even my explanations didn't convinced you... So, you must be right ! You decide, you're the chief after all ! cheers

I have already told you, in private massages, that I can try to answer your questions.
Few weeks ago, I have sended you a "umap" with possibly wrong edits on stadiums. It contains around 1400 cases to study, I have already checked 500 of it --> around 1 in 4 cases are due to your edits, because you have removed "leisure"="stadium" items. For now it takes me around 4 full days to check it...
I can recognise that you have improved your mapping techniques, but please could you edit only things that you are sure about, please stop deleting others work...

About the "Plaza de toros" items, I think there is a specific stuff in spanish, that's why many wikipedia articles don't use the capital letter for "toros". As I said above the typography is specific when making maps, look at the OSM database usage :
https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/name=Plaza%20de%20Toros#overview
https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/name=Plaza%20de%20toros
It's clearly most used with capital letter. Finaly, I think it's better to let the local mappers choose their way, so I'll stop to try to correct these elements. For the "ruedo", the ground surface of the arenas, I prefer to have it as "natural"="sand" but it's quite a detail.

About the naming "Stade Olympique", if you want to respect the french typographic rules, you should consider reading this wikipedia article https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usage_des_majuscules_en_fran%C3%A7ais_lorsque_le_sp%C3%A9cifique_est_un_adjectif#parc
There is a specific example about "parc Olympique" explaining why the first letter is in capital.
Whatever, in cartography the rules are specific, commonly we put a capital letter in front of each word, appart some pronouns or conjunctions. It is briefly explained in the wiki osm.wiki/Names --> "Use mixed case with the first letter of each word capitalised".
There's a more detailed article in french wiki osm.wiki/FR:Toponymes,_odonymes

You are disturbed by my comments, I understand. Many contributors are annoyed by your edits --> you are contributing in OSM for 6 month now, and you have already 123 changesets commented...
To answer your points : if you want to remove a double object, don't erase informations like the website, combine the 2 elements way/108505523 way/309939398

I have reverted that changesest.

66369257 almost 7 years ago

Why did you delete the "leisure" item ? why did you delete the website informations ? way/309939398/history

Why did you remove the capital letters to "Olympique" ? Your typographic aproach is wrong.

You are really annoying, still making bad edits. None of the private messages seems to help you modifiy your bad mapping manners...
