Hi, right, I see this now, my bad. Sorry for too fast judging (political vandalism is too common recently in these areas).
I restored your edits.
Just as recommendation, it is always better to give detailed explanation for such sensitive edits.
My apologies again.

hi, looks like your Every Door app continues to upload same changeset many time producing high number of duplicates. Please try to check what is wrong with the app or try to reset it.

Hello and welcome!
OSM community has an unwritten rule to always try to update/modify existing objects where possible instead of deleting and creating a new one in place. Will appreciate if you can try to follow this idea too.

Hello, please provide your sources and reasons for this international border change. Please avoid doing any more such changes without discussion.
If nothing provided, your changes will be reverted.

Hi and welcome!
What happened with the forest you removed?

There are some GPX tracks in this area, I tried to align aerial imagery and looks like some building was misaligned before and not much aligned now. But this is very inaccurate since work is mostly manual.
In general, nodes re-alignment is problematic as in most cases you need to move everything, including roads around...

Hi, this is a big change and a big shift. I just want to ensure that you firstly aligned aerial images to existing GPX tracks before moving object?
osm.wiki/Using_aerial_imagery#GPS_tracks

Also, when tracing high buildings, we should trace their bottom and not the roof.

Please ensure you do not use any gov data. This is explicitly forbidden and might lead to revert of all your commits. Even "looking" is using.
Currently I know only two approved ways of adding addresses - physical walking with some app like StreetComplete or using public images from Kartaview or Mapillary. Everything else is a violation. It's not worth the risk.

Actually, I think that TA released their data without us asking first (see https://opendata.tel-aviv.gov.il/). But you for sure can use them as a good collaboration example for other minicipalities.

Opened a new topic in our community where we can try to organize/discuss this complex topic.

Hi, there is usually no need to add city tag as it can be easily guessed from city boundaries.
Like, it's not wrong, but it's not really needed.

BTW, may I ask you where you get house numbers from?

161785071 11 months ago

IMHO, to avoid future complications, I'd recommend reverting changes and re-surveying them again manually. With the right app, this is a nice evening walk :) I do this frequently myself.

You can also start a new topic in our community (forum) to discuss this further: https://community.openstreetmap.org/c/communities/il/50

BTW, in the past we tried to contact some municipalities, only Tel-Aviv released addresses data and we happily imported it. If you wish, you can try to convince data owners to share some with us :)

Here is an official FAQ regarding licensing: https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Licence/Licence_and_Legal_FAQ#2._CONTRIBUTING_DATA_TO_OpenStreetMap

One of items for example:
2.1.2. Can I import data where the intellectual property rights are owned by someone else?
No, not unless you have a specific waiver and their agreement that it will be licensed under the ODbL

My understanding of the rules is that only opposite is valid. I.e. "not forbidden" is not enough, OSM requires "official approval". For example, there is an official approval to use Bing satellite images, while Street view is not allowed. When you look at the other source and do adjust osm - it's already a copy. There is a known trick used by map owners - they introduce minor fake data, and if this data appears on other map - it was copied.
The only good source for house numbers we can use (I know) are Kartaview, mapillary, and, the best, local survey.

Hi, you wrote https://v5.gis-net.co.il as source for your changes. Usually we don't have permissions to use such sources and the unauthorized usage is a serious violation

Yeah, I just discovered similar relations created by Matan_M132 and also wrote him. Sometimes it's useful to have such groups for easier management. For example, for bike rental stations, or branches of some retail. But for this specific case I see no benefits.
I'll not touch it, but I'll raise this question in community telegram group, let's see what other think. Thanks.
