Hi, this is a big change and a big shift. I just want to ensure that you firstly aligned aerial images to existing GPX tracks before moving object?
osm.wiki/Using_aerial_imagery#GPS_tracks

Also, when tracing high buildings, we should trace their bottom and not the roof.

Please ensure you do not use any gov data. This is explicitly forbidden and might lead to revert of all your commits. Even "looking" is using.
Currently I know only two approved ways of adding addresses - physical walking with some app like StreetComplete or using public images from Kartaview or Mapillary. Everything else is a violation. It's not worth the risk.

Actually, I think that TA released their data without us asking first (see https://opendata.tel-aviv.gov.il/). But you for sure can use them as a good collaboration example for other minicipalities.

Opened a new topic in our community where we can try to organize/discuss this complex topic.

Hi, there is usually no need to add city tag as it can be easily guessed from city boundaries.
Like, it's not wrong, but it's not really needed.

BTW, may I ask you where you get house numbers from?

IMHO, to avoid future complications, I'd recommend reverting changes and re-surveying them again manually. With the right app, this is a nice evening walk :) I do this frequently myself.

You can also start a new topic in our community (forum) to discuss this further: https://community.openstreetmap.org/c/communities/il/50

BTW, in the past we tried to contact some municipalities, only Tel-Aviv released addresses data and we happily imported it. If you wish, you can try to convince data owners to share some with us :)

Here is an official FAQ regarding licensing: https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Licence/Licence_and_Legal_FAQ#2._CONTRIBUTING_DATA_TO_OpenStreetMap

One of items for example:
2.1.2. Can I import data where the intellectual property rights are owned by someone else?
No, not unless you have a specific waiver and their agreement that it will be licensed under the ODbL

My understanding of the rules is that only opposite is valid. I.e. "not forbidden" is not enough, OSM requires "official approval". For example, there is an official approval to use Bing satellite images, while Street view is not allowed. When you look at the other source and do adjust osm - it's already a copy. There is a known trick used by map owners - they introduce minor fake data, and if this data appears on other map - it was copied.
The only good source for house numbers we can use (I know) are Kartaview, mapillary, and, the best, local survey.

Hi, you wrote https://v5.gis-net.co.il as source for your changes. Usually we don't have permissions to use such sources and the unauthorized usage is a serious violation

Yeah, I just discovered similar relations created by Matan_M132 and also wrote him. Sometimes it's useful to have such groups for easier management. For example, for bike rental stations, or branches of some retail. But for this specific case I see no benefits.
I'll not touch it, but I'll raise this question in community telegram group, let's see what other think. Thanks.

Hi and Welcome to OSM!
I see you created here new type:site relation for the school. Why we need this?

Also, I don't think type:site is the right tagging for this case. Site type is useful for cases where one big amenity is spread across many separated buildings (like big univercity campus, for example). I don't see any benefits of having relation for many unconnected kindergardens. Do you?
We can discuss this, if you wish, here, on forum or in the community telegram group.

Hi, you created here relation to join all synagogues in the city. Why we need it?
Also, I don't think type:site is the right tagging for this case. Site type is useful for cases where one big amenity is spread across many separated buildings (like big univercity campus, for example). In your case it's kind of "network", but again, why?

I'm not 100% sure, but we can discuss this here, on forum or in our telegram group.

Here you can find common rules for our area and other contact options including forum which doesn't require any app install.

No worries, this map is very popular in some areas, so assume that any of your changes is immediately visible for million users and might affect their navigation :)

hello and welcome to OSM!
the track you edited here crosses stream without and explicit bridge or other passage. do you know this place and maybe know what is happening actually on the ground?

and curious, way/152833299 was removed because this nice path to fuel station was finally blocked?

Hello and welcome to OSM!
Just a little note to be sure: when you use satellite images, please be sure to firstly align them as most of them are shifted to random sides sometimes by several meters.

there are many options, depending on tools you use. Specifically iD editor doesn't supports reverts, so you need to use other tool.
Here is a full list:
osm.wiki/Change_rollback

I personally prefer this one: https://revert.monicz.dev/
just login, copy there this changeset ID (161508929), write explanation and all done.

also you are welcome to contact me or join our community telegram group https://t.me/OSM_Israel if you have questions or need a help.

Abandoned or disused is the way to go here. Please see disused:*=* too.

Please tell if you need help with undoing this removal.

Yes, they update maps periodically and not very frequently. Current map is from 1 December.
