Hi, regarding gps traces, if you are coming to this area, I can recommend you tools to record gpx yourself. Also, I'd recommend to use mapillary or kartaview each time you visit new places

hi, looks like you accidentally dragged node of the way and now way is broken: way/297686797#map=16/31.29050/34.24738

I'd suggest carefully reviewing changes before saving them. Please fix, or if you need help with fixing - please leave a note, I'll be happy to help.

Hi, are you sure that site is a correct type for such relation? And in general, what is the usage for such relation?

and the last one: if it's possible, please, try to edit existing items instead of deleting them and creating a new one. This is important for preserving history and respects other's work (osm.wiki/Keep_the_history)

(you deleted parking and recreated a new one at the same place with different shape)

happy mapping!

also here node/2888988091
if you wanted to say that this item is on -1 level, the more correct tag is level=-1 (level=*) instead of building:floor=-1.

BTW, looks like you accidentally deleted one of corners of this school: way/500396871
I'll fix it, but please be more careful and review changes before saving.

Welcome and thank you for your contribution!

I noticed that you change name of node/11061951863 from "Good Pharm" to "GOOD PHARM". While I understand that you for sure wanted to follow official site naming style, but I believe in this specific case we should keep the "Good Pharm" version as it better follows English grammar rules. I also consulted with other contributors and got this nice manual from Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Trademarks#General_rules which also recommends to not use upper case.
so, if you agree - please revert the change, and if not - you are welcome to join our discussion in community telegram chat.

Welcome and thank you for your contribution!
Highway=pedestrian is more for wide foot-only roads like "midrehov", in this specific case highway=footway will be more appropriate

so, I'll revert your changes, if you don't mind...

אני מבין, אז שווה להוסיף תיוג של
amenity=school

construction=yes along with highway=residential doesn't work.
must be highway=construction and optionally construction=residential.
or, construction: prefix can be used as alternative.

168535191 5 months ago

Hi Tsur, why would you change these tags?
at the moment you say "highway=residential" - this means construction is finished, which is not the case here.

see highway=construction

ברוכים הבאים ותודה על תרומתך!
אתה הוספת כאן שם לפינה של הבניין הבת כנסת. האם רצית להוסיף פרטים לבת כנסת עצמו או לייצר אישות חדשה?

Hi, regarding your question, there is a comfortable app to collect street view images - Mapillary. In general it mostly used to collect tracks, but it also has a nice feature of taking single image. If you'll use it to catch new places - other mappers will also be able to use these photos for their mapping. This provider is fully approved for OSM usage and nicely integrated in many popular editors.

app link is: https://www.mapillary.com/app

Here is my personal example where I took a picture of bomb shelter to later map it: https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=1027066689507715

there are more similar platforms https://kartaview.org/map and https://mapilio.com/app but only Mapillary allows single-picture mode.

BTW, great detalization, may I ask what is the source you used to map them?

Welcome and thanks for your contribution!

I noticed that you moved some roads to match aerial photos on bing. I'd like to ensure that you firstly aligned images to GPS tracks since they are always misaligned and all shifted several meters in random directios.

If not, please be sure to read instructions here: osm.wiki/Using_aerial_imagery

Also, will not harm to read our local guide: osm.wiki/Israel

and if you need any help - feel free to ask community (all links in wiki page above)

I'd highly recommend to use osm.wiki/Israel page as your starting guide. If you have any questions - feel free to ask local or global community in forums or telegram groups (links are in wiki page)
