Wenn ein Hochsitz falsch eingetragen ist, kann man den natürlich löschen. Wenn er aber korrekt eingetragen ist, und irgendjemand der Ansicht ist, dass diese Information "niemand etwas angehe", dann ist das kein ausreichender Grund zum Löschen; vielmehr stellt es Vandalismus an unserer Karte dar, die Information zu löschen. Jetzt dürfen wir rätseln, welche der Hochsitze tatsächlich falsch waren und welche unberechtigterweise gelöscht werden. Vermutlich werden wir uns entscheiden, einfach den Status quo ante wiederherzustellen.

Soweit ich informiert bin, ist in Nordrhein-Westfalen auch keine "Duldung" durch den Privatwaldbesitzer notwendig, um den Wald zu betreten; stattdessen gibt es ein gesetzlich verbrieftes Waldbetretungsrecht, das auch vor Privatwald nicht Halt macht, oder liege ich da falsch?

In diesem Changeset wurden über 20 Hochsitze gelöscht. Das ist nur zulässig, wenn diese Hochsitze entweder vorher falsch waren, oder in der Realität abgebaut worden sind. Beides erscheint mir wenig plausibel; kannst Du bitte eine Quelle für diese Änderung angeben?

Dear Paul, in this changeset you deleted several dozen buildings as well as a couple of residential roads. You have not specified any reason for this deletion, other than "#hotosm-project-17301" which is not something that anyone outside of the HOT bubble can understand. Please explain these deletions. Have these roads and buildings been demolished?

Hi there cmitchell, the DWG has received a complaint from a local land owner pertaining to some tracks you seem to have added in this changeset. The complaint says: "Ursa Major Loop is all private as well as Jeep Trail. Also Michener Creek Road west of Ursa Major Loop is also private. Those areas are all properly signed as per Montana state law too."

Have you visited the area in person and can you comment on this claim?

Hallo lieber user_msh, mir fällt auf, dass Du oft an Wald- oder Feldwegen ein "foot=yes, bicycle=yes, motor_vehicle=agricultural;forestry" ergänzt. Bitte verzichte künftig auf foot=yes und bicycle=yes, sie sind ohnehin der Standard. Bei den Einschränkungen für motor_vehicle bitte ich Dich darum, diese ausschliesslich dort zu taggen, wo Du persönlich vor Ort warst und Dich vom Vorhandensein eines entsprechenden Verkehrszeichens überzeugt hast. Du hast diese Edits so großräumig gemacht, dass der Verdacht entsteht, Du machst das vielleicht ohne Ortskenntnis; das wäre unerwünscht. Sollte sich der Verdacht erhärten, dass Du ohne Ortskenntnis mappst, müssten wir Dich eventuell irgendwann um Foto-Beweise bitten und Deine Edits überall dort zurücksetzen, wo Du keine vorweisen kannst.

PS: access=unknown ist zwar vielleicht ehrlich, aber auch in jedem Fall zu vermeiden - wenn man etwas nicht weiss, taggt man es einfach gar nicht, statt zu taggen, dass man es nicht weiss ;)

Dear Q8Maps, your mapping of boundaries in Kuwait has a number of issues. Firstly, please don't add a "source=www.q8maps.com" tag to every object; it is sufficient to see the source on the changeset. Secondly, the individual boundary lines making up a relation should have no tags other than boundary=administrative; in way/1314603644 for example you have used several name tags, a ref tag, a source - but no boundary=administrative. And in way/1314822643 you have added a place=city tag to the administrative boundary which is also not correct. Also, "survey and satellite imagery" is not a credible source for your large scale editing of administrative boundaries since they are neither visible on satellite imagery nor will there be lines on the ground that can be surveyed. So please explain the actual data source of these boundaries.

Dear someone123457, please be careful when assigning name tags on OpenStreetMap. Only use the name that is indeed advertised on signs; don't add helpful explanations. For example, only use "Courtyard Amarillo Downtown" for a hotel name when that's what it says on the big sign. If the sign only says "Courtyard" then that's what goes in the name tag. Same for parking garages - way/403173998 should only be called "Happy State Bank Parking Garage" if that is what is on the sign. Generally the fact that it is a parking garage is already well represented by the amenity=parking tags.

Found the link: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/import-bus-stops-from-gtfs/117873 - it would be good to add that directly in future uploads, if any.

Data imports to OpenStreetMap require a previous discussion in the community. Please provide a link that allows people to see that discussion. Imports also require documentation on the Wiki. Please provide a link to this documentation.

Dear WieKo68, to make this very clear, the websites you are taking the data from must either explicitly allow the use in OSM, or at least have an open license without strict attribution rules and without a prohibition on commercial use. If the web site says something like "data is under CC-BY-SA" or "data is free for personal use" then it is not suitable. In your future contributions, please use the changeset source field to provide links to the relevant web sites so that everyone can read the license themselves. (Do not provide a link to the homepage of the church - provide a link to the precise page where you downloaded the data.)

Also, as I said, please stop adding name tags to boundary ways even if it is only temporary. You are using OSM as a staging tool to help you manage your import process and that is not how imports work!

Both of these comments will certainly have been made by other mappers with whom you have discussed this data import, as required by the import guidelines!

Hallo, die Data Working Group ist auf diese unerfreuliche Auseinandersetzung aufmerksam geworden. Ich habe diesen Änderungssatz revertiert, denn "Beschwerden von Grundstückseigentümern über ungleichmäßiges Mapping von Gärten" ist kein ausreichender Löschgrund. Bei Bedarf kann das Angliegen der Grundstückseigentümer im Forum zur Sprache gebracht werden, vielleicht findet sich dann jemand, der das Gartenmapping vervollständigt. Lieber "siwag" bzw. "der-von-da", es gehört zu den ganz normalen Qualitätskontrollmechanismen in OpenStreetMap, dass Mapper sich gegenseitig auf die Finger schauen und Rückfragen stellen, wenn etwas ungewöhnlich aussieht. Wenn Du damit nicht umgehen kannst, dann bist Du bei OSM falsch.
