Ja, Du hast recht, mit den Bahnsteigkanten habe ich etwas übertrieben. Ich werde das wieder zurück-ändern. Allerdings ist es m.E. trotzdem falsch, die *Bahnsteigkante* als Stop in die Routenrelation aufzunehmen, stattdessen sollte das *Bahnsteigmultipolygon* als Stop in die Route. Oder?

It appears that you are on a crusade to delete names from those small parts of roads that lead on and off roundabouts, and you're doing that not only in your local area but over large parts of Sicily. I think that this is something you should discuss with the community before, as opinions seem to diverge about whether or not this is a good idea.

I have reverted this changeset because it created one huge building=residential relation that contained the buildings of half a village, and all the outer rings forming the buildings were imported with a ton of non-OSM tags. Please discuss any data import on a suitable mailing list (at least talk-it, or better still, imports) before proceeding, to avoid faulty imports like this.

it appears that you are making a very large number of edits to OSM with an automatic script. Please note that we have rules for such kinds of edits (osm.wiki/Automated_edits) - among other things you are expected to discuss the scope and type of edits you plan to make automatically before making them. It also appears that the software you are using is buggy; this changeset here adds a single tag to an object that has been edited by the same software a second earlier. Creating a new changeset for every single property change is not a good idea. Also, the changeset comment should not be "create changeset" - that text adds no information that was not already obvious. See osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments. I would politely request that you pop in to the "imports" mailing list, or at least to the mailing list for the country you plan to make edits in, before you continue.

This changeset appears to import a large number of duplicate nodes and rectangles that bear no tags that OSM recognizes. It looks as if the OSM database was used to mark the mapping status certain map squares. Can you explain?

Wir werden alle Namen, die aus GWR kommen, aus OpenStreetMap rauswerfen, und erbitten Deine (donovalys) Hilfe dabei, zu unterscheiden, wo Du GWR benutzt hast und wo nicht; kannst oder willst Du diese Hilfe nicht leisten, werden alle von Dir beigetragenen Namen entfernt. Diese Entfernung ist beschlossene Sache, da werden wir nicht drüber diskutieren. Natürlich kannst (und solltest) Du die Sache trotzdem in der Community diskutieren und auf Treffen zur Sprache bringen, und vielleicht kann man ja zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt mit amtlicher Genehmigung die jetzt entfernten Namen wiederherstellen. Bislang allerdings liegt diese Genehmigung nicht vor. Ich hatte Dir eine Frist bis zum 18.6. gesetzt, die Du verstreichen lassen hast. Ich verlängere die Frist letztmalig bis Ende Juli - danach werden wir nicht länger auf Input von Dir warten. Insbesondere handelt es sich hier *ausschliesslich* um eine Frist, in der Du uns darlegen kannst, wo Du Daten aus GWR übernommen hast, und keine Frist, in der Du uns irgendwelche Argumentationen einreichen sollst, warum Du recht hast.

Das thüringische Waldgesetz erlaubt das Radfahren (nur) "auf befestigten Wegen und Straßen". Ein Blick auf das Luftbild liess es mir unwahrscheinlich erscheinen, dass sich an dieser Stelle ein befestigter Weg befindet - unwahrscheinlich genug, um der E-Mail zu glauben, die wir erhalten haben. In der E-Mail hiess es, dass die Polizei hier Mountainbiker einsammelt, die verbotenerweise den Weg benutzen, und diese Mountainbiker sich dann auf OSM berufen. Mir scheint, dass ein "bicycle=no" zumindest vorübergehend hier Schaden abwendet. - Trotzdem hast Du im Grunde natürlich recht, und daher habe ich im deutschen Forum auch gefragt, ob sich jemand vor Ort die Sache mal anschauen kann.

Hello Aleks-Berlin, you have been warned a number of times not to perform mechanical edits. A mechanical edit is one where you edit objects without looking at them individually. In this changeset you have removed two tags from a series of hydrants, while leaving a ton of other useless tags in place (see node/4566582350/history). This proves that you did not look at what you were doing. Such low-quality edits do not help to improve OpenStreetMap. Please don't do it.

Mir scheint, dass Du in diesem Changeset eine Reihe von Straßen gelöscht und dann wieder neu erstellt hast. Warum? Dabei geht ja die Änderungs-Historie verloren, und die ist u.U. nützlich.

I am concerned that your adding of area data for motorways will make editing unnecessarily complicated. We don't normally do that in OSM - have you discussed these plans with the Polish community?

I did a spot-check of some of the "fixed" objects and found that in many cases, only a part of the original problem had been repaired - sometimes a tag was fixed but the location was still in the middle of the road, or vice versa. In your particular example, you did fix the amenity tag but you left an advertising tracking ID in the "linkedin" URL. Now of course you can't be expected to even detect such rubbish but I thought that there's bound to be similar problems with all the "fixed" objects, and better to get rid of them altogether.

You moved the node "satyashor shiva mandir" a little bit - why? The Bing imagery doesn't really agree with the new position. Did you notice that the node was tagged "addr;city" (instead of addr:city), or that it is part of an useless, untagged rectangle that you could have deleted? I am trying to understand (1) how did you stumble across this particular object and (2) why did you then move it a bit but not fix the obvious bugs? What is the purpose of this edit?

Eliot, feel free to point out those non-discussed other imports and we can deal with them appropriately. -- I notice that you've placed "ref" tags on these address points which is highly unusual and seems to contradict your own wiki page. Don't add "ref" tags.
