I was there this afternoon and how completely different it now all looks!
Actually I gested about the tag razed:railway you used iso razed:highway along the slalom path which I know only too well as I plotted it millions of years ago;).
The forest has been "chopped" right up to the path along the LUX border but for some reason OSM would not allow me to move the forest north of the path.

Indeed a huge area has been chopped and relandscaped. It appears to be part of the big Alzette project. There were so many MPs covering that area that I deleted the wood and rebuilt it. This may have caused the accidental deletion of the Schreiner's area. I have redone it as industrial but maybe you know what the correct tag should be..
There has been a lot of changes also North of the reserve and that possibly will become an extension of it. More plans have been posted on changes in the field W of the CIS Schifflange.
Thanks for the new fence tag protocol. was not aware of it.
btw, there had been some very long duckboards plotted and unchallenged for a few years. In fact there is only a small one leading to the hut.

Hi M! I think the area is owned by the National Forest authorities as I saw them working there some years ago. It is now almost totally overgrown so not ideal for fruit vegetation hence my question. They have also chopped the strip of trees adjacent to the main road and the path is at places almost gone. In fact they kindly put it all the branches etc in one place, bang on the path near the service road.

You have to struggle over stumps to reach it; As it is an official walk from de Thionville Office de Tourisme I assume this will be resolved during the summer and have not plotted the way I managed to get past!
That other way you mentioned it starts as a track 3 but ofcourse going down turns into a path. I should have put a fixme as did not fully take it this time.
All the best!

Hi Guillaume. Good to hear from you again. Did not realise this info from geoportal disagrees with data.public.lu. As I dont see there is a way of accessing the latter without being a subscriber I will not be able to correct, so will have to wait for another import or have you change it back.
Glad we have no restrictions (yet) in travelling within the GDL and dont have to do armchair plotting ;)
Take care,
Dan

Thanks for pointing these out and have deleted the tags. Should not have happened ;) They were all unmapped until my walk there in 2012.

Hello Donat. This is a long time ago. Can you specify the "offending" node. It looks like I used Merkaartor to simulate a Garmin French Topo plotting.

Thanks for the info. It really just not make sense for them to call it N13B which means you can cycle upto where it becomes a motorway. On the official 1:20 000 R10 Luxembourg (Schengen-Weiler) map that stretch is clearly shown as a motorwaylink to the roundabout. I dont think we should change that for the sake of a inconsistent numbering. Maybe quote the ref is "N13B"

I dont understand your definition of members of a relation. Please advise as you say they are not the coordinates

92295576 about 5 years ago

If you refer to order by coordinates then I disagree, as often part a relation gets updated and looses its rank. In any case, a circular relation can have a starting point at any node unless that node is identified.
The Mondorf walk can easily start as well in Ellange. I do not see your objection to a map being correctly identified.

So what is the command for establishing the start of a route relation in mkgmap without this tag?

Hi, colloquially speaking a chemist is also a pharmacy, and not just a person being a chemist. However, feel free to change this to avoid confusion

Hello there,
In 1980 the Luxembourg Ministry of Tourism published a booklet with 100+ nationwide walks. Many of these had their routings changed over the years, and when this happened every effort was made to remove any evidence of a blue/white pointer along the old tracks and paths. However, a few escaped the attention of the organisers but these are often difficult to detect as nature has been claiming ground.
Originally, the ones plotted by a small group of us were all scattered in woods and forests where paths have vanished (eg Fingig). However, the Bertrange ones are now on a path that is again clearly visible and regularly used. I visited it a few weeks ago and noticed that one of the FB trees has fallen and will probably be removed.
So in short, it is an attempt to catalogue where man once trod but nature has taken over.
Interested to hear about your idea of tagging older trees!
Best wishes,
Dan
