Changeset When Comment

A ha! Love an easy fix. I will periodically look at the "similar" things in tag info to catch stuff like this (https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/mascot#similar). Thanks for the note. I will tidy things up.

The wiki has some documentation you may find informative. Can you be a bit more specific about your concerns?

Oh my goodness yes. There's an infinite well of things to learn and map and a million little pitfalls.

Connectivity for paddling around and routing folks is still relatively knew so I expect there's a lot of great work to be done. :-D

Hello!

Lazy rivers aren't waterway=river and should be marked as attraction=lazy_river as they were previously. The enclosing swimming pool polygon is used to document the extant of the attraction.

I reverted that small bit of the changeset but wanted to let you know in case there needs to be some back and forth about it. :-D

Happy mapping!

Ah gotcha. It looks in a decent state now. Thanks for looking into it!

I originally found it looking at the QA layer on WaterWayMap for "loops" in waterway directions. The US is mostly tidied up but it's always interested to see where the smaller defects are https://waterwaymap.org/loops/#map=2/0/0

Oh, it was marked by you as oneway= and I was curious to learn more. It's an unusual tag on a waterway. If it's a mistake then I'll tidy it up, if it has a real purpose I would love to hear about it.

I found it because the whole waterway was pointed upstream causing a loop in the waterflow graph. I have reversed that part but figured I'd ask about the other.

Hello!

Thanks for the great work. I noticed a small error (easy to make!) where this waterway was (presumably) marked in the wrong direction causing a loop in the map data.

Anyhoo... patched up now. Just something to watch out for.

Happy mapping!

Hello!

What's the story with the one_way tag on this waterway? It's somewhat curious and I would love to know more.

Hello!
Can you help me understand what makes this a "meadow" (landuse=meadow)? You've done a lot of work but I am having trouble understanding a lot of the tagging choices.

Hello!

Thanks for adding the waterways. You may find this map useful as a QA layer: https://waterwaymap.org/loops/# I tidied up a few spot where the waterway direction was incorrect and causing loops in the flow. Happens to us all, easy to get patched up.

Happy mapping!

Hello! Thanks for adding all this lovely stuff. You had one side stream segment that was pointed upstream, I fixed it up but something to pay attention to for sure.

Happy mapping!

Hello and welcome!

A few meta tips that I think help keep things running smoothly:

1) if you can keep you edits in a smaller region that, generally, helps with reviewing and later editing
2) smaller sets of changes are more conducive to more descriptive change-set comments.

Welcome again and happy mapping!
