This evening I'm planning to drive along the East part of Nazareth.

When driving to my home I took the time to drive along some new road to map.
Just finished adding following streets in Nazareth:
Beenstraat
Dragonderwegel
Gaston De Grootelaan
Nieuwstraat
Ter Meerenstraat
Zwanestraat (north and south parts)
I've also added some POI, but these locations need finetuning.

With only a little effort, my hometown is looking al lot more spectacular than a few days ago. Not bad for a rookie...

I'm wondering how you people map suroundings of market places, buildings and sports centra.

Anyone with hints and ideas please contact me...

This weekend I decided to start mapping streets in my hometown Nazareth (Belgium).

Using my old Mio C230 device I was able to generate GPS track logs. The biggest problem I had was to retreive the track logs from this device. It turned out that these tracklgos are stored in the iGO.db file. This is a sqlite database file. With the tool iGO POI explorer I was able to extract these tracks from the database into gpx files.

Following streets were added this weekend:
- Warandestraat
- part of Beenstraat
- part of Zwanestraat
- Steinstraat
- part of Groenstraat
- Kapellestraat
Notice that the location of the street Kapellestraat is more precise than you can find on Google Earth.

- Merelstraat
- Eeckhoutsdreef
- Zandstraat
- De Lichterveldestraat

- Heerweg

I'm planning to add more streets in the following days.
