| 64279158 | about 7 years ago | who told you? or where? Because that is partially wrong and i would like to check/fix that. in detail: every relation needs a type. see osm.wiki/Types_of_relation an admin boundary needs additional tags boundary=administrative, admin_level=X and name=* see osm.wiki/Tag%3aboundary=administrative#admin_level the "sum" is: type=boundary, boundary=aministrative, admin_level=X, name=* regards
|
| 64279158 | about 7 years ago | btw: you may ask me how to do this better. i'll allways help you. But if you continue like this, I will ask the DWG to block you again - but this time for a longer time. |
| 64279158 | about 7 years ago | type=boundary is very important for admin boundaries. please never ever remove or change that tag.

| 64227196 | about 7 years ago | @pitscheplatsch: hab deinen Kommentar zu spät gelesen und die Boundaries bereits restauriert (undelete). falls du einen full Revert machen willst und dich mein Kram stört: changeset/64261348 kannst du ruhig vorher reverten.

| 64227196 | about 7 years ago | And you deleted boundaries of uganda state too.
this boundaries have been recovered. Please do not delete any ways which you don't know. walter |
| 64205212 | about 7 years ago | Hi navid, don't panic ;) I only wanted to tell you, that there is still work to do. You are doing a great job. Regards
|
| 64205212 | about 7 years ago | Hi Navid, there ar a lot of errors in this area. especially overlapping al4/6/7/8 see https://wambachers-osm.website/images/osm/snaps_2018/iran2.png (teheran province and alboz province are identical - and wrong) list: https://wambachers-osm.website/index.php/10-osm-reports/1405-countries-compare-2018-11-06 regards

| 62518944 | about 7 years ago | @JoeG fine :) |
| 64144410 | about 7 years ago | sorry, correction: Yes, you found the reason - uncomplete loaded ways. |
| 64144410 | about 7 years ago | No, don#t think so. But uncompleted loaded relations is the reason for that. Loading uncomplete members in the relation editor before splitting is one way to resolve that. even better is to load the box around the area, where you want do do something. Josm validator is working only with data, which has been loaded."continousDownload"-plugin will do that for you. btw: when i started editing big relations 5-6 years ago, i did the same stuff - you are not alone ;) Regards

| 64144410 | about 7 years ago | USA(2) and Virginia(4) have been destroyed too. can+usa fixed by CS changeset/64164109 Regards

| 64144410 | about 7 years ago | Hi Adam, working with boundaries - even using JOSM - is not an easy job. during your work, you "killed" some admin boundaries, because you forgot to add newly created way segment into every involved boundry. you have to work more carefully and check every boundary, which may be involved. see https://wambachers-osm.website/index.php/10-osm-reports/1403-countries-compare-2018-11-04 showind 5 damaged boundaries including Canada. of course, i'll fix that right now. walter/germany |
Gruss

| 64008876 | about 7 years ago | Hi Sebas, you removed all tags from this boundary and therefor you killed it. may be, you did it for error but if not, then it's a political motivated vandalism.
if it was an error, please be more carefull. walter |
| 63745054 | about 7 years ago | Hi, seems you are developing an online editor. right? please enter discussion https://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?pid=721607#p721607 it's the german forum but you may write in english. our questio is just "what the hell is going on there?" writing such an editor is no simple task and tests must not be done using the common api. you have to use the development api. walter |
| 63218586 | about 7 years ago | it's your country, i think :( |
| 63423262 | about 7 years ago | Hi, please stop changing boundaries to "land_area". the tagging for admin boundaries is: osm.wiki/Relation:boundary esp. osm.wiki/Relation:boundary#Relation_tags you may add a tag like land_area=true or somethinjh else, but don't touch "type=boundary". walter |
| 63418267 | about 7 years ago | has been reverted. |
| 49429084 | about 7 years ago | Da dort nach der Änderung keine Lücke entstanden ist, hab ich das Teil jetzt endgültig gelöscht. Stiftet nur Verwirrung. |
