Is the existing beach

Thanks for your response. There is already a beach to the east mapped as an area. If that is wrong, you should modify it rather than creating a new feature. However, the current beach area feature looks reasonable- a sandy area next to the water. You placed a point (node) between that sandy area and the parking lot.
