The layout of this car park changed when the Wallsend Library building was occupied by the Wallsend Day Nursery. The plot now incorporates a children's play area,

This plot has never been a Primary School. It used to be the Wallsend Police Station until it was demolished and made way for new housing which is what occupies the plot now.

This eastern end section of the road marked The Ropery (from the houses to the cycleway) doesn't actually exist (as a road). What is here is actually a gently sloping set of stairs (not signposted that I could see), featuring short tarmac surfaces with steps of masonry in 1, 2 or even 3 steps at a time, down the slope from the cycleway. It meets the end of the actual The Ropery road at the end of the buildings, but there is no through access, instead the stairway takes a ninety degree turn left, becoming a short set of conventional steps (still masonry), turning the kink into a T (as per Google aerial). Footpaths connect the riverside cycleway to the road in between the gaps in the buildings (rows of housing)
