Changeset When Comment

"Earthship Community" may refer to this: https://naturalbuildingblog.com/new-mexico-earthship-community/
Calling it tourism=attraction is kind of a stretch.

What was your data source for the turn restriction prohibiting southbound Crown Street from turning left onto eastbound Abilene Street?

Please do not add addr:street unless you are sure you have the correct street and you are just unsure of the number. This Burger King has an Aldine Mail Route address, not an Eastex Freeway address.

Also, "misc. improvements" is a poor changeset comment because it tells us almost nothing. Virtually every changeset is going to be an improvement of some sort.

Hi,

While we welcome businesses adding themselves to OpenStreetMap, please note that we do not welcome advertising copy, particularly in the description=* tag (this is specifically noted in the wiki <description>)and=* changeset comments (which are noindex and nofollow and thus will not be indexed by search engines, so there is no point).

How is the TX 249 Business route primary if the frontage roads to the tollway, the main through route, are secondary?

Was this really built as a residential building originally? It certainly appears to be commercial if not purpose-built retail.

Now that I've gotten a chance to look at this a bit closer... why do parts of ways 918937429 and 918937430 overlap, when one is natural=wood and one is natural=scrub? An area can't be both.

1. The wiki article itself isn't really a source.
2. Why put all of these changes in one changeset? It's insane that the bounding box encompasses almost the entire continental US and most of Cuba and Mexico.

1. "fix boundaries" is almost useless as a changeset comment. What boundaries were you fixing, and why?
2. osm.wiki/Changeset#Geographical_size_of_changesets -- please read and try to follow going forward.

How did you figure out the maxheight from satellite imagery?

116907810 almost 4 years ago

@Lee Carré: actually, there are limits to what you can add on OpenGeoFiction (you can't trace real world features) and this edit may not have been welcome there either.

117027503 almost 4 years ago

It's vandalism; the terse, deceptive changeset comment was likely on purpose.

117049483 almost 4 years ago

It's really "Confirm existing opening hours" but StreetComplete doesn't distinguish between the two.

117068138 almost 4 years ago

Why not "Removed bogus turn restrictions" as your changeset comment, then? It would have made it much easier to understand what was going on, as "corrected errors" doesn't really say much. That's what the changeset comment is for.

117075732 almost 4 years ago

Disregard. Was looking at wrong data

117075732 almost 4 years ago

Oops, forgot to update sources. This changeset did *not* use MapWithAI data.

117027856 almost 4 years ago

No wonder... This wasn't a correction. This was vandalism and I can see it has already been reverted.

117027856 almost 4 years ago

Almost every changeset on here is correcting something. The purpose of a changeset comment is to explain *what* you are correcting.
