What is your reference that this building was originally built as a supermarket?

Please do not add fictitious roads such as way/105117472 (now deleted).

Especially if the bounding box of your changeset covers basically the entire planet, you need something more explanatory than "general improvements" when describing your changeset. What exactly did you change/improve, and if it isn't obvious, why?

"Updated name of road, resolving note/2654884" -- this is what your changeset comment *should* have been.

Most changesets are to "fix[] a problem" so making that the comment tells us absolutely nothing new.

Hi, and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

I have cleaned up the issues with your recent edit/addition. Most notably, the phone number, website, and suite (addr:unit) were in the wrong formats. Also, in general OpenStreetMap is not the place for ad copy (changesets are noindex and nofollow) and hashtags are used to describe the changeset, not to advertise.

In most cases, name=* should not merely repeat the address of the building. The exception is some office buildings where the address is also used as the building identity.

Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

Please note that on OpenStreetMap, street/road names should be spelled out, not abbreviated. Other than that this is a good first edit.

description=* MUST NOT be used for advertising copy or similar rubbish. Please cease and desist.

It looks like you changed the Sugar Land city boundary as part of this changeset. What is your data source for this change?

106675511 over 4 years ago

Hi,

Changeset comments should be at least nominally descriptive of the actual content of that changeset. "Various corrections" only tells us what we already know and adds nothing. It's as useful as an empty changeset comment.

Also, please confine each changeset to smaller areas than this. There is no reason for one changeset to span multiple countries/continents.

---

Salut,

If you are still out there and remember, what was your data source for the name "Lake Riverstone Lane"? Someone has since changed it to "Lake Riverstone Drive" and based on the circumstances it's a suspicious edit at first glance.

These are historic names which came from USGS Geonames. If this was truly a privacy issue it would have been addressed long ago. Reverting in full.

We have had several dubious edits of the Sugar Land border in the past few months. What is your data source for this?

105113773 over 4 years ago

The bounding box shows it's in the Sugar Land area, and "made changes" is implied. This changeset comment also tells us nothing useful about what you've actually edited.

105116937 over 4 years ago

None of these edits involve highways. This changeset comment is actually deceptive about the true content of your edits.

105117472 over 4 years ago

What types of changes and/or what is the purpose of your changes? "Made changes to [road names]" doesn't really tell us anything.

Hi, and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

I have cleaned up some minor issues with your first changeset. Specifically:

* Names should be in mixed case, not all capital letters.
* Boundary relations are for the boundaries of cities, counties, states, countries, etc and even then admin_level=1 is generally not used.
* Area features should usually not be glued to roads.

Other than that, looks like you are off to a good start.
