over 4 years ago | Hi, This address was entered in the wrong format. I know OsmAnd's editing facilities make it a bit difficult to enter an address properly, in particular when there's a unit number involved. The street name field should contain only the name of the street, not a number, the address number should go in the address number field, then addr:unit with the unit number should be added manually.
over 4 years ago | I'm sure these edits correct something. The purpose of a changeset comment is to describe what has been changed, or specifically what those corrections are: "Improve road alignment" for example. Also, please save before moving to a different area. The bounding box of this changeset includes all of Mexico as well as a chunk of India. This makes needless noise for someone trying to review the local changes in, say, parts of Houston, Texas (US).
over 4 years ago | Hi, At least in the Houston area, buildings along freeways are addressed with the name of the freeway itself. "Frontage Road" isn't part of the legal address. Also, street names in addresses are not abbreviated (this trips warnings in QA tools/validators that will complain there is no road named, for example, "SW Freeway Service Road" nearby).
over 4 years ago | Oops, sources should have included "web search" as well.
over 4 years ago | Hi, When you are adding a multipolygon, whether for a building or other feature, the ways themselves should not be tagged, and the outer and inner ways should be in the same relation, not two different relations. I have cleaned up the building at the northwest corner of West 20th Street and Nicholson Street which was added incorrectly.
over 4 years ago | Please save before changing areas. There is no reason for the bounding box of a changeset involving the Hollywood sign to stretch clear across the Atlantic Ocean and a huge chunk of Africa.
over 4 years ago | Hi, addr:street is for the street/road name only. For the suite/unit number, use addr:unit, i.e. addr:unit=150 (as I have done in a following edit). Also, please note description is not for ad copy (since removed).

over 4 years ago | The standard in the US seems to be one changeset per state in most cases. In Texas I try to keep them smaller when feasible as Texas is huge. I agree that the bounding box system isn't perfect but it's what we've got.

over 4 years ago | Hi, "sr-ss" isn't valid syntax for opening_hours, "sunrise" and "sunset" must be spelled out. In fact I'm not 100% sure that's what was meant, it's a guess on my part.
over 4 years ago | Hi, Regarding turn restriction relations 12451383 and 12451384 (East Rogers Street near North Freeway Frontage Road), it makes much more sense to simply split the service road and make it one way southbound (as I have done) as the two sections of East Rogers Street are the only way to access that service road and wind up northbound. I'm seeing a lot of mappers do this and it seems like most if not all of them are Amazon mappers.

over 4 years ago | Especially if the bounding box of your changeset covers basically the entire planet, you need something more explanatory than "general improvements" when describing your changeset. What exactly did you change/improve, and if it isn't obvious, why?
