almost 5 years ago | Thanks, good work.
almost 5 years ago | The purpose of a changeset comment is to describe *what* you changed and possibly why. We can (usually) tell where the changes are from the bounding box... though this time it looks like you have mixed in DFW area edits with the Cypress edits. "Added new subdivision" would have been how I described the Cypress area edits, and then in a new changeset "Removed no-longer-existent buildings; updated freeway ramp alignment" for the DFW area edits (that I saw).
almost 5 years ago | Why was Harbor Town Drive upgraded to tertiary in this changeset?
almost 5 years ago | Oops. Didn't realize this was still open when switching back to Houston. The edits in Livingston were to add traffic controls and were based on Bing imagery.
almost 5 years ago | Yes, we can see this changeset changes items in the United States. The purpose of a changeset comment is to describe the purpose of your edits, not just list the country. Also, this is way too big; changesets should normally stay within state lines in the US.
almost 5 years ago | Thanks for catching this; apparently I typed the city name into the wrong field in the JOSM preset and didn't notice.
almost 5 years ago | Please do not use name for things like name=Sidewalk. This is not useful and clutters up the map.
almost 5 years ago | What exactly is your reasoning behind changing the road classifications, including changing obvious driveways/service roads to be part of Cabrera Drive?
almost 5 years ago | Source was Bing imagery
almost 5 years ago | Again, what is your data source for these border changes?
almost 5 years ago | In the future, please do not loop service roads back onto themselves as you did with way/756263924 (may be changed by the time you see this). This throws warnings and errors in many validation tools.
almost 5 years ago | What is this changeset supposed to be, and why does it stretch across a huge swath of the southern US?
almost 5 years ago | Hi, Please do not add shop=yes with no other information. shop=yes no longer renders on the default carto layer and is discouraged; if used anyway, it should have at least a name, address, etc accompanying it to allow for further research.
almost 5 years ago | Truckfit's address came from a web search I forgot to note.
almost 5 years ago | Yes, it's called a "blooper" (i.e. it was added by mistake). I'll delete it shortly.
almost 5 years ago | Oops, spurious empty changeset, this was caused by outdated data from the Overpass API and edits duplicated ones already submitted.
almost 5 years ago | Hi, Please save and start a new changeset before switching areas. Changesets are shown in the history view by a bounding box and in your case, since you edited three buildings on an island in the Caribbean and then some in California, that stretches across a huge chunk of the southern US and northern Mexico. In the future, an edit like this should be three separate changesets, one for each area.
almost 5 years ago | Instead of using way IDs which are cumbersome to look up, it would be better to describe the secondary_link add as "Added crossover for Mangum Road" i.e. refer to roads by name instead. Generally, we can see which ways are connected by looking at the changeset data itself.
almost 5 years ago | What was your basis for this change? The last section of Lockwood Road north of Tidwell Road is definitely residential, not primary (personally surveyed), so I've already reverted it. Based on my local knowledge I've always considered most of the rest of the changed segments to be a better fit for secondary.
almost 5 years ago | What is your data source for the changes to the boundary of Sugar Land?
