Changeset When Comment

I think this edit was in error. By changing highway=primary to highway=construction it no longer appears valid for routing and is no longer rendered on the map.

I agree with ndm, half the US plus a huge chunk of the Atlantic Ocean then stretching into Africa/Europe is a bit big.

Hi,

The convenience stores/fuel stations you mapped had some issues. Generally, the building with the c-store in it is mapped as shop=convenience (or as a node within the building) and the fuel canopy is mapped as amenity=fuel, building=roof, layer=1 (since it is above the surface the roads are on). I have fixed a couple of these in this area.

This changeset has been partially reverted by changeset/95658731, removing the tunnel and layer tags from this path.

It's not really a problem, unless it keeps happening where changeset comments don't really say what you did.

Re: adding the dumpster -- as long as you fix the mistake when it's realized, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Stuff happens.

"Added buildings"? Looks more like you deleted one here.

Hi,

Please don't use leisure=garden unless it is (from the wiki) a "[p]lace where flowers and other plants are grown in a decorative and structured manner or for scientific purposes." The outdoor dining area of Smoothie King is certainly not such an area. Also, please avoid using name=* unless the place or item has an official name. Overuse of name=* clutters up the map as rendered in the default carto layer and in some cases can make it look amateurish (especially when words like "fountain" are misspelled as "foutain").

Hi,

JOSM's validator complains about "amenity=recycling without recycling:*" or put more simply, the types of materials this recycling container accepts is missing. Do you remember what they were or does it need to be resurveyed?

While this is the correct value for name=*, please note that brand=* should still be just "H-E-B" without "Fuel", "Pharmacy", etc.

I'd say in this case it's a pretty obvious capitalization/spelling error. That said, these types of edits should still be split up by country and not lumped into one big huge changeset spanning (most of) the planet.

OsmAnd should make it difficult to do this accidentally. Unfortunately, the map editing features are not much better than Go Map in the hands of someone who doesn't know how to use them.

Should be: Add c-store, fuel, fast food, ice cream per note/2434513

Oops.

Great first edits. Welcome to OpenStreetMap!

Please save before editing in a different country. This bounding box stretches across half the planet.

Agree with Carnildo here; these should be split into smaller changesets. I do appreciate the spirit of generally fixing up things across the country on Election Day, though.

I really think it's time we ban all changes from MAPS.ME until it's fixed. This is getting ridiculous.

93616781 about 5 years ago

Also the bounding box is way too big. There is no reason for changes spanning almost the whole world to be in the same changeset like this; it makes it difficult to see what's really being changed.

Please try not to make changesets covering such a large area. Also, "Düzeltme" ("correction") tells us nothing about what you actually changed and is no more useful than no changeset comment at all.
