Changeset When Comment

The address of the building is still 4540 Kingwood Drive. Please do not remove the address information just because the grocery store has closed.

Good work, you beat me to it. :-)

What kind of minor fix stretches across most of the central to eastern US? And what did you fix? I mean, we can almost see it's a "fix" by the fact it's an edit, so the changeset comment doesn't even tell us anything useful.

The proper name of this church is "Saint Basil the Great Greek Orthodox Chruch" and that is what should go in the name tag. If you know it is a "Greek church" but have no further details that goes in description=* or in a note saying something like "Greek church, not sure of exact name". I have made the appropriate corrective edits.

Oops. This was not surveyed, this was only from Keep Right.

Also, we already know it's a "content update" so that's not a useful changeset comment. "Add stones, heath, buildings, foot path" etc is more along the type of changeset comment I would use.

Oops, this changeset also used Maxar Premium Imagery (Beta) which was omitted from the original submission tags.

@watildon -- unfortunately this type of changeset is typical of the output of maps.me and there is no way to fix it (other than convincing DWG to block it from submitting until the authors agree to a fix).

Hi,

Please note that "and" is also not valid opening_hours syntax. I have corrected your entries.

82366702 over 5 years ago

Please review the proper syntax for opening_hours=* at <opening_hours=*>. In particular, please note the proper use of parentheses and that 24 hour times are used (e.g. 13:00 for the first hour after noon, not 1:00 pm).

Correction, previously mapped building outline, not a newly mapped one.

Hi, and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

Please note that the opening_hours tag has a specific format (two letter weekday abbreviations, 24 hour times), see <opening_hours=*>. Also, most if not all of the values used in the cuisine tag do not conform to existing community consensus, see <cuisine=*>. cuisine=* is not intended to replace the menu but merely to give a rough idea of what type of food or beverages are available.

This shows up as a changeset in Houston, Texas, US (and for that matter, a huge chunk of the US including everything east of the Mississippi), even though I doubt there were any changes made there. There is no reason to have all of this in one changeset; it is much easier to see what is changed and where if it is broken into smaller changesets.

87149548 over 5 years ago

Smaller areas per changeset, please. This one covers (apparently) almost the whole planet.

Should also have "upgrade fuel to roof outline"

86680314 over 5 years ago

Smaller areas per changeset, please. The bounding box for this one encompasses all of Mexico in addition to parts of several US states and a big hunk of Central America.

Looks like this is mainly adding paths, why not "adding paths" for the changeset comment (which actually tells us this) instead of "misc edits" (which doesn't really tell us anything)?

87104927 over 5 years ago

Why does this edit stretch across multiple countries and the entire Atlantic Ocean?

87060217 over 5 years ago

Hi, and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

Overall this is okay for a first edit, however I did clean up some things, most notably the house outlines were not squared up. In iD you can use the "Q" keyboard shortcut to help with this. Also, highway=living_street has a specific meaning that is not normally found in the US; Liliana Glen Lane was correctly tagged as highway=residential which I have restored.

In the future, please do not map the same thing twice as both a node and a way. Also, ways tagged as building should conform to the building outline (and not the entire area of, say, a church).
