I removed the blatant rubbish/ad copy description.

Hi,

When changing an address, please be sure the new address is in the correct location. Your edit was on a node in the previous office's location and would actually direct people to the wrong location even when searching on the new address. This has since been fixed.

Hi,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap!

For future reference, please read and take note of osm.wiki/Abbreviations -- road names should not be abbreviated e.g. "Drive" not "Dr".

I can merge the nodes with the buildings, and I agree that's the right way to do it. Though note that at least one of these buildings has/had two bars in it (I want to say 308 but it's been a while).

Oops. Should have been a Chevron fuel station. Fixed.

Hi,

The CVS store is both a chemist (drugstore) and a pharmacy. The pharmacy is intentionally mapped as a separate node to allow for different opening_hours as it is not open 24 hours like the drugstore portion.

Comment should be just "add buildings", remainder was autocompleted by mistake

What I think had happened was I made an incorrect note when surveying (it is common in some rural areas for the turn lanes to begin halfway across the underpass as I had previously mapped). Anyway it should be all fixed now.

I have fixed the lane counts and lane use after looking at Bing Streetside. If the road is physically divided, making the lane count and lane use edits you suggest would be incorrect. It would be only slightly better to do lanes=6 lanes:forward=3 lanes:backward=3 turn:lanes:forward=left|| turn:lanes|backward=left|| but even this would technically be incorrect for a physically divided road segment.

As I remember, it is physically divided under the freeway.

Updated to shop=trailer in changeset/164351510

Hi,

Please do not tag shop=yes on every building that does not have an identifying business tag. These are usually redundant, always useless, and trigger a bunch of JOSM validator warnings that have to be cleaned up by other mappers.

I am currently mapping in Kemah, TX, and the Starbucks inside the Target at 255 Marina Bay Drive duplicates the address on the building. Is there any objection if I remove the address from the Starbucks?

Hi,

Please note that this is still a toll road and the toll gantries are still there. highway=toll_gantry is handled in a completely different way than barrier=toll_booth and should not be deleted. I am in the process of restoring the data to its correct state.

Hi,

While we welcome good faith contributions to OpenStreetMap, your most recent addition had several issues:

1. Address, phone, and opening_hours were incorrectly formatted (see updated version)
2. Description contained blatant rubbish/ad copy. Per the OSM wiki: "The description should only include neutral and factual information about the object. ... Do not use description=* for advertising messages. They will be removed as spam and may also have further consequences for your OSM account."

Is this a physical office location or a mailing address? If the latter, that's not really suitable for OSM.

Oops, sources should have included "web search"

Hi,

You tagged the building which likely has a convenience store as amenity=fuel with no building tag. The more commonly accepted practice is to tag the fuel canopy with amenity=fuel and tag shop=convenience on the building (or a node if not sole occupant). Either way, for future edits please note that MapWithAI will not be able to detect a duplicate building if there is no building=* tag.

Hi,

This edit appears to have deleted the names for a small section of Main Street. Please be more careful to not delete names in the future.

Hi,

You tagged many of the crossings with crossing=uncontrolled which are clearly controlled by the traffic signals nearby. In the future these should be tagged with crossing=traffic_signals. This is important as OsmAnd will call out uncontrolled crossings but not those tagged as being signal controlled.
