It's better now than it was. Il meglio è l'inimico del bene

It is, but it's also used to park the rental cars I assume. I didn't walk all the way down to the car park, just noticed signs at the access road

Another example changeset/171134746
The river is called Danube in English, but probably no English-speaking person has ever heard of the street, so its name is only Дунав in Cyrillic and Dunav in Latin script.

If names are going to change soon, let's wait. But I think what users should get to see on their map is what's on the signs. That's why I removed name:en=Princess Marie Louise here changeset/171192609 because that name is nowhere to be seen at the station. I got to see that name on my laptop in iD; now that I removed it, I get to see what's in int_name and that's how it should be.

Hi Mitko, how do you think about having a name:en for public transport stops? I think they don't have one, and the name in Latin script should be in int_name so it appears for all users with a language using Latin script. The translated English names are not helpful because they don't appear like that on the signs and could confuse English users.

That branch of Remedium is much bigger than the others, and is selling some medicine but much more cosmetics etc. So it's more like a chemist than a pharmacy

ubb.bg is a much more reliable source than my memory...

134116625 4 months ago

No, I don't remember adding it, and I've never been inside the fence of HCC

Thanks! Will you also have a look again at your previous edits and check if there's a legal reason to add foot=yes/no?

170880903 4 months ago

Maybe at the Bulgarian translation of osm.wiki/Public_transport

Mapping metro stations correctly is hard, I know... especially because photography is forbidden inside metro stations. Maps like here https://www.metropolitan.bg/shema/dejstvashto-metro/nadezhda are sometimes helpful, esp to relate what's underground with above ground, and to remember where the elevators are.

Hmm.. way/1424728113 with layer=-1 connects with the platform at level=-2 at one end, and halfway down steps at the other end, and those steps go up 34 steps from a path at layer=-1 to another also at layer=-1. Something's wrong ;)

I guessed you have your practice in mapping these stops. Maybe to document it in the BG wiki?

Is there nothing left of the pharmacy? If it is now a vacant shop, it's better to choose "Празно е" (which adds disused: to the shop tag). If later a new shop moved in, it's easier to add it and the history of the node is preserved

About sidewalk=separate, it is indeed ambiguous, but I think the right tag to replace it with is sidewalk:right=separate

Mitko, I added a pavement/bus platform here way/1424401897 Can you check my work and finish it?

In OSM, access tags such as foot=no should strictly be applied only where there is a legal restriction. See https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/poll-should-streetcomplete-disable-the-are-pedestrians-forbidden-to-walk-on-this-road-without-sidewalk-here-quest-in-the-uk/118387 for an example of a discussion on this subject. So foot=no should only be added where there is either a sign forbidding pedestrians (Bulgarian type В12, see here https://bg.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9F%D1%8A%D1%82%D0%BD%D0%B8_%D0%B7%D0%BD%D0%B0%D1%86%D0%B8_%D0%B2_%D0%91%D1%8A%D0%BB%D0%B3%D0%B0%D1%80%D0%B8%D1%8F#%D0%93%D1%80%D1%83%D0%BF%D0%B0_%E2%80%9E%D0%92%E2%80%9C_%E2%80%93_%D0%9F%D1%8A%D1%82%D0%BD%D0%B8_%D0%B7%D0%BD%D0%B0%D1%86%D0%B8_%D0%B7%D0%B0_%D0%B2%D1%8A%D0%B2%D0%B5%D0%B6%D0%B4%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B5_%D0%BD%D0%B0_%D0%B7%D0%B0%D0%B1%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B0_%D0%B8_%D0%BE%D1%82%D0%BC%D0%B5%D0%BD%D1%8F%D0%BD%D0%B5_%D0%BD%D0%B0_%D0%B2%D1%8A%D0%B2%D0%B5%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B0_%D0%B7%D0%B0%D0%B1%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B0 ) or because it is mentioned as forbidden in the traffic law. Thanks Dimitar for mentioning the new rule in the traffic law! Afaik in the Bulgarian traffic law, pedestrians are forbidden only on motorways, and now in tunnels and on bridges without sidewalk.
A properly designed router should know the legal restrictions (so should not route pedestrians over motorways and bridges/tunnels without sidewalk) and otherwise should set its own rules that help pedestrians choose safe routes for instance by strongly discourage routing via major (high-class) roads and road links without sidewalks. This is the router's job, and not our job as mappers. See osm.wiki/Tagging_for_the_router

I deleted the address (it's already on the building), the opening hours (incorrect format) and the description (spam).
Please, please learn from your mistakes, so I don't have to waste my time as a volunteer correcting the garbage you're adding!

170792862 4 months ago

Hi, are you sure about the edits you just made? I see that you sometimes changed foot=yes to foot=no in places where afaik there are no traffic signs that forbid pedestrians (i.e. it is legally allowed to walk, though maybe unwise). You changed a sidewalk=separate to sidewalk=right where there is a separately mapped sidewalk on the right side.

Thanks for your reply! You edited the name and opening hours of the shop, but the kind of shop and that it had no name sign were still unchanged. I went there to check and made the necessary edits, and also changed the shop next door...
