Hi,
the downloaded area was to small!
So this road was not included in to your local dataset.

Hi adiatmad
I would suggest reporting this user to the DWG.
It is too hard to go through every change and manually check what is wrong. A series of reverts will lead to a lot of conflicts as many errors have already been fixed by other users. But something should be done since there are still so many problems left.

Hi @adiatmad have you reported this user?
I just came across a lot of suspicious changes in Botswana too.

Hallo,
wurde da was wegen der Klassifizierung verworfen?

Sorry for ruining your day.
My intention was to at least provoke a reaction. The highways I commented about yesterday are still on the map.
So back to the facts. Your road mapping seem pretty illogical to me. For example: a "highway=residential" without a connection to an equivalent or higher level road network makes no sense. If you trace every visible road in this area, the result would be a completely unreadable map. Since no one is mapping next to you, all new roads should be mapped from end to end. You should complain to your project manager for giving you unclear instructions. Please read the comments to #10091 (https://tasks.hotosm.org/projects/10091) to understand what kind of mapping is really intended here. Also, please note that the area you are working on was mapped recently with project #5842, which is still active. So you should focus more on correcting the existing data. There are plenty of roads mapped, which do not appear in the more current imagery anymore.

Hello Choolwe Hamama,
1x "path"
1x "track"(version 3)
2x "residential"
1x "road"
do you roll the dice to determine the classification of highways?

109373972 over 4 years ago

Hello Choolwe Hamama,
in this changeset you have digitised the railway line as an additional "highway=motorway_link". Please note that each aerial image has its own offset. As far as I know, there are no Motorways in Zambia at all. So please remove these roads and adjust your imagery layer to the existing data next time.

Hello,
the actual size of your buildings is about the size of a shoebox.
Are you sure? Does that make any sense?

108528997 over 4 years ago

I understand, but I would also prefer to tag most roads here as "track". People who don't own cars don't need "unclassified roads". Defining a track as a path suitable for some four-wheeled vehicles, rather than a road leading only to fields, might make the map much more plausible
Is a new tagging scheme in the works? If so, where is the discussion taking place?

108528997 over 4 years ago

Hi Becky,
way/940470383
this road has a higher importance than the average. It even has a classification (ref tag). Why have you re-tagged it as highway=track? Imo tagging is not about every road leading to a building needs to be at least a "unclassified" or on the other hand every unsealed road should be tagged as "track". To make the map readable, it is about identifying the few important roads and give them a higher classification than the rest.
