Please, stop using the name=* tag to add the common name or the scientific name.

Please add the scientific using the species=* tag.

Read the wiki: natural=tree

Please do not use the name tag to add the name of a species.

name=* - for individual trees which have a name, usually these are either individual trees with a historical or traditional name or trees with a name given in memory of special events (> memorial tree). The usual rules for name=* apply. This tag must not be used for a description of the species.

Please take a look at the documentation: natural=tree

Hello RACCN-Adiciones,

I have noticed that you are adding name=* and name:es=* to some elements, but the values on those elements differ, and they should not differ, they should be the same.

Please have a look at the wiki regarding this issue:

osm.wiki/Multilingual_names#Repeating_name_with_language_specific_tag

In cases where multiple languages are tagged for a name, the local-language name tag should be duplicated with the language-specific sub-key. For example, Moscow is tagged with name=Москва, with the same value as name:ru=Москва.

Porfirio

Hello Steven Galeano,

When adding elements like natural=tree there is no need to add a tag name=*, add it unless the tree has its own name due to historical reasons.

These are the guidelines for adding natural elements like trees:

natural=tree

Thank you for your contributions.

Hola.

Hello ThunderH,

Thank you for contributing to OSM.

I just want to add some areas with opportunities for improvement on the naming of some of the elements you have added with this changeset:

Please use Capital Casing for the naming:

Instead of "Bar la Barca" please use "Bar La Barca", and so on.

Happy mapping,

Hello Nia-gara,

The use of tags like: name_1, name_2 and so on are deprecated, please avoid using those:

osm.wiki/w/index.php?title=Names&uselang=en#Deprecated_tags

Could you please fix the changes in which you have made use of those deprecated tags, like this one:

Unless the building has it own name, there is not need to add the string "Edificio" on a building.

Hello maritza esther,

Thank you for contributing to OSM.

I just noticed that you have added some changes to the map by citing Google as the source for the information that you added.

Also as part of the source you added a link that normally is used to embed information from Google Maps.

Citing Google, consulting Google or adding/modifying/deleting information to OSM based on Google is not acceptable.

Please don't do so.

Give a look to this document from the official OSM Wiki on this topic:

osm.wiki/ES:Preguntas_frecuentes#.C2.BFY_por_qu.C3.A9_no_utilizo_Google_Maps_para_mis_datos.3F

This changeset will be reverted on the next weekend due to the infringement listed above.

Please subscribe to the official mailing list to further assist you with any questions or doubts you may have on how to map and what sources to use.

Hola joserrg12,

osm.wiki/Import/Guidelines#Ensure_that_the_data_license_is_OK
