Yesterday we completed hiking the length of the Yurrebilla Trail capturing a gps track as we went. 54kms of goodness. For the first time ever my gps trail upload and processing at osm was almost instant.

It's all mapped now. If you want to have a look, namefinder pulls it up quickly:

Started at Eagle On the Hill today, next to the old Bullock Track. We completed section 2 in the rain, but it was before lunch, so we pressed on and completed section 3 in light rain. Good walking. Saw a few Koalas and Captain Giles' Ruins along the way. GPS track is up and mapped.

Does anyone know what to do when a walking track follows an existing street or way for a bit? I don't know whether to run parralel to the existing way, or to finish the section there and pick up the trail where it takes off on it's own again...

Can't upload the first GPS trail! For some reason, GPS trails on OSM need time data for every point. Able to get the second trail from the Active log. Mapped that, doesn't seem to hard... See how it goes. There are a few rods around our area missing, will trundle around with the GPS and upload them.
