The public right of way shown on the Durham County definitive map has been obliterated by new housing construction. I suppose the RoW has been altered, or will be reinstated once building is done.

However, the line of travel taken by walkers is considerably different, and is traced on the gpx file I uploaded earlier, 2021_11_08_1256_RagpathWood.gpx

It crosses a meadow, then skirts a line of Heras fencing, and meets the former path at a wrecked stile.

There are a couple of alternate routes heading to the Deerness Valley line
