I also used TIGER Roads 2020 for determining road path just i forgot to put it in the sources. (lol)

Retraced relation/3881986 as you wrote "fixme=retrace" but i also noticed that the polygon wasn't aligned

Na látom sikerült mégis csak megcsinálni a templom 3D modelljét. :) Szép munka

113541616 about 4 years ago

Ah, it makes sense

113541616 about 4 years ago

I hope you will fix the forest boundary because the w:1000645713 isn't accurate, it overlaps into houses and such

Á, most már értem.

114105803 about 4 years ago

Ja bocs nem :D csak a járdákat berajzoltad, de a kerítést majd én berajzolom mert ugyanis egy része a parknak az a társasház része

114105803 about 4 years ago

Sorry, my brain was thinking forward a bit, NAIP is from 2019-2020 in VA (in WV it's from 2020)

114004278 about 4 years ago

Yep, i noticed, i took advantage of that when i did my own couch mappings in VA, as you can see i mapped that huge forest part around VA 43 towards I-64.

Note that the western area is older than the national set, because it's from 2018, and the NAIP is from 2018. There was a recent refreshment of the imagery of the eastern part of VA, it's from 2021, actually in OSM US Slack a user posted a comparison of the tiles.

Btw, if you'd like you can join the OSM US Slack community here: https://slack.openstreetmap.us/

or if you're familiar with discord, there is OSM World: https://discord.gg/openstreetmap

Oh wow! this looks impressive to see someone's adding a lot of forest landcover in Virginia (just like me adding a lot in WV :) )

114000977 about 4 years ago

Thanks for the corrections! to be honest, all roads outside Raleigh County is left unaligned even if i drew a lot of landcover as you can see.

I don't know if you heard of this, but i'm doing a tasking manager project for that county:
https://tasks.openstreetmap.us/projects/258/tasks
and i'm right now at 91%, i'm mostly done with that county luckily, it took me a year to get there, because i also did another county in parallel (Coshocton County, Ohio) + i have university studies going on.

Btw i always appreciate the help you give out just sometimes i hate OSM Carto when it renders stuff weirdly because something is overlapping it :D

upd: I see that you are a new mapper. I'm actually an experienced mapper and know how to deal with relations, I usually show my work to the American people especially to those who live around that area or nearby state, and didn't get a question on this.

It's an unwritten rule, but try to avoid duplicates of relations which follow the same route. (because it's just an unnecessary data package for the server)
in the case of super relation it may make sense to have a relation divided into parts, but this is not a super relation. (other experienced mappers, please correct me, if i'm wrong)

113930063 about 4 years ago

Because I merged the members to the US 35 (WV) relation, I hope it's not a problem, because that's how the current route of US 35 goes. (And i didn't understand why to have a separate relation just for the newly opened highway part) relation/1593688

If you wish to revert this, then alright but still it won't make any sense to have a relation without a name and ref tags.

changeset/113930063
fixed, i hope this is ok, but feel free to correct it

113850290 about 4 years ago

You forgot to "open" the other side of the highway as well :)
also, for the others: https://www.wsaz.com/2021/11/11/travelers-now-welcome-final-section-us-35/

Rendben, köszi a válaszod.

+ I splitted up a very long forest landcover which went across the border of Bulgaria, so if you see why is this so big, this is the reason. the original way contained 1797(!) nodes, so that's why i decided to split the CLC landcover up.
