No it isn't. You also removed the place=neighborhood tag from the neighborhood name here. I have reverted this changeset; please only map things that actually exist.

Hi, welcome to OSM!

Fyi, Little Gem is already mapped here, in the correct location: node/6448583485

Hi,

Please take a look at:
node/5207488821/history
node/371251496/history
node/440106745/history
node/4614040399/history

the branch name added for node/4957729632/history

the name change to node/6582417968/history

the small changes to the shapes of these two hopscotch courts: way/1106905400/history way/1106905401/history

Please keep in mind that the validator is meant to be a helpful tool to make tagging things easier and to find *potential* issues; the changes it suggests are not necessarily errors and can inadvertently introduce new errors if not used carefully. In particular it seems to have some false-positives when detecting regional/international brand names. If you're not sure or don't care about some random thing it flags that you didn't edit it's usually ok to ignore it.

node/150963254/history appears to be a valid place name.

Hi, welcome to OSM!

In this changeset you removed the office=* tag from the old library building on Solano and changed it to building=school. Can you explain why?

According to the sign out front it's currently being used as the district's enrollment office. The building was originally the Albany public library, then was leased to the YMCA for it's Kids' Club program. AFAIK it has never actually been used as a school.

Hi, I'm wondering what the source you're using for these maxspeeds is? I tried looking for a reliable source for the speeds a while ago and couldn't find anything useful. Some of the ones you added here don't look right (like through stations, where it should be closer to 30-something mph).

You added the role "forward' in a few route relations which is not correct. Please see: route=subway and osm.wiki/Bay_Area_Rapid_Transit#Tagging_Conventions . All the BART routes are basically up-to-date at the moment.

Also, you seem to have somehow accidentally copied the note "Drawn from Bing imagery when tunnel was an open trench." all over the place in this changeset and the other one.

board_type=notice would be for one of those boards where people can post event flyers, help-wanted ads, missing cat posters, and other things like that.

Hi,

I had added area=yes because this cage is a three-dimensional object, not a simple linear fence. It extends over the top of home plate.

Were the sharrows removed from San Pablo Ave recently?

Hi,

Normally the leisure=pitch area goes around the entire field, the way I had drawn it previously, not just the infield.

There doesn't seem to be a standard way to map just the infield yet, but it looks like some people have used baseball=infield.

Hi, welcome to OSM!

On-street parking is one of the more complicated things to map. If you want to map a parking lane there are a couple of ways to do it. You can add parking:lane:left and/or parking:lane:right tags (see parking:lane=* ) to the existing way representing the street.
Alternatively, you can draw a single rectangle around all of the spaces and tag it with amenity=parking and parking=lane (see parking=lane ).

To map individual parking spaces there's:
amenity=parking_space

Normally you would want to add the access restriction under the access=* tag. "Nobel Laureate only" is such a vanishingly rare type of restriction that there's no tag for it, so access=private along with something relevant under the description or name tag would probably be best for now.

Hi, welcome to OSM.

Is this part of an assignment for GEOG 80 by any chance? There have been a number of very similar edits in the last few days around the campus adding random paths and things that have already been mapped on top of existing objects.

Unfortunately I had to revert this changeset because it was mostly duplicating things that were already mapped, and had at least one dragged node.

Hi, can you explain what you're trying to do here? McCone Hall has already been mapped here: way/24025437

If you were trying to add more detail to the building you might be looking for the building:part=* tag instead of building=* See osm.wiki/Simple_3D_Buildings for more info

ps: The name "McCone Hall Base Area" doesn't really make any sense; that's not the name of the building. The name tag is only for actual names.

Hi, welcome to OSM. Is this part of a class assignment?

Most of what you have added in your recent changesets has already been mapped, and much more accurately than what you added. Unfortunately I had to revert all of your changes. Please check to make sure that what you're adding doesn't already exist before uploading to the live database. Thank you.

At a glance node/3992975568/history doesn't seem to have any connection to the brand you changed it to here. The branch name doesn't make sense.

I had intentionally not tagged the Tempo stops with amenity=bus_station since they don't seem substantial enough to be considered proper bus stations. They don't fit within the description at amenity=bus_station . They're really just upgraded bus stops with higher platforms. At the same time they can't be tagged with highway=bus_stop since it conflicts with highway=platform.

relation/8042605/history doesn't look like an allotment at all. I'm not sure what the best way to tag a building courtyard would be though.

way/338429760/history doesn't look right. A building podium is part of the building and should normally be tagged as building:part=* (or building=*).

Why was Lee's Deli ( node/1281158248/history and node/4468299590/history ) changed to a fast food chicken chain? The two chains don't appear to have any connection other than a similar name as far as I can tell.

Is node/775379090/history really a Starbucks again? There used to be a Starbucks here but that was before the hotel was renovated and it was replaced by Radiator.

More comments (sorry!):

barrier=wall looks odd on way/377918799/history . Underground structures aren't usually mapped as walls. Maybe the train box could be represented with some kind of building:part=* or indoor=* tag? I'm not sure about this one.

For node/2616701810/history I don't think Amazon Go and Amazon Fresh are the same thing. You sure about this one?

Hi, a couple of things:

Did node/2335908268/history get turned into a Crate & Barrel?

What's up with node/6582417968/history ? Did the name really get changed?

The operator for node/5870674310/history should probably be the Transbay Joint Powers Authority? The SFMTA doesn't operate the bus deck.

"San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District" is the correct name for the BART district.

node/9979293770 doesn't actually exist. Yerba Buena Lane intersects with Market Street, but because the streetcar tracks are in the center of Market Street, and the street is
much wider than the tracks, Yerba Buena never actually interacts with the tracks and there is no rail
crossing. Everyone either turns left or right at Market. Because the map is a simplified diagram of what really exists and streets are represented by single lines you sometimes get weird artifacts like that.
