almost 6 years ago | Thanks. Can't you just trim/crop the lines after you've exported them? I'm not sure what exactly you're working on, but illustrator, inkscape, autocad, etc all have similar tools that can trim the excess lines.
almost 6 years ago | Is there a purpose behind these edits? At first glance there doesn't seem to be any difference between these tiny segments you're creating. Usually the only reason to split things up is if there's something that needs to be tagged differently. (different lane counts, surfaces, bus routes, etc.)
almost 6 years ago | These are gated private driveways, not residential roads (see https://www.mapillary.com/map/im/iZphuNiEbpaXh0pQa1QFqg )
almost 6 years ago | This looks like an alley (highway=service, service=alley), not a residential street.
almost 6 years ago | This is a small driveway leading to the back of a dentist office, not a residential street. See: https://www.mapillary.com/map/im/-9XJDEFrimI-B-OB026spA
almost 6 years ago | Looking at this more closely, some more things went wrong in this changeset. The old_railway_operator tag on way/323745114/history and other places around Sacramento got changed to "Abandoned Railroad"... The Iron Horse Trail, 105th Ave in San Leandro, The Monterey Bay Coastal Trail, Carson Road in Placerville, and several other places had similar issues.
almost 6 years ago | Can you take a look at nodes 6571769713 and 6571769714? Something went a little wrong in Alameda. The old_railway_operator=[name of the street] tag also got added to Blanding and Clement in another changeset, which seems a little odd. Isn't that part of the old Alameda Beltline? I'm not familiar enough with it to say for sure.
almost 6 years ago | In this changeset you actually deleted Mcdonalds completely when you moved the building (while leaving the building and address info). Was that your intention?
almost 6 years ago | Unfortunately there were some problems here. For example, most of the tags were deleted from Caffe Strada (including amenity=cafe...), the temporary bus platform at Shattuck & University was deleted, some completely unrelated/wrong brand/cuisine tags were added to Cafe Rio, the Golden Bear Cafe lost some of its info, the entrance to the Berkeley Art Museum was deleted, and the building passage tag was removed from the part of Sather Lane that passes through the building. I've fixed these. It looks like you're using the id editor's validator. Please be careful - it can be useful, but it only reports *potential* issues, and isn't necessarily 100% correct.
almost 6 years ago | access=private isn't the right tag to use here (it would be used where, for example, only employees or tenants could park). This is probably access=customers or access=permissive.
almost 6 years ago | Is there a reason you deleted the East Bay Vivarium? I haven't heard anything about it closing.
almost 6 years ago | Sprouts is in fact on university land, along with the rest of the shopping center, the senior housing complex, and University Village. I think the current outline was drawn before any of the new construction happened and should be updated. I haven't bothered with it yet since the term "Gill Tract" technically refers to the whole area around the village, and is also used to refer to the smaller agricultural area currently outlined, and sorting it out might take some work.
about 6 years ago | This looks like a private driveway rather than an actual street.
about 6 years ago | The name here was correct. Please be more careful before deleting things.
over 6 years ago | Are you sure about this? This block is clearly striped for two-way traffic (with a yellow line down the middle) in the most recent aerial imagery layers.
over 6 years ago | Instead of deleting the businesses completely, would you mind just removing the tags relevant to the business and leaving the node intact? That way we won't lose the address information, which doesn't change when a store closes.
over 6 years ago | Are you sure about the current name? When I passed here on Friday the new sign said "Tasty Wok". A week before there was a hand-written sign in the window that said "[something] Bowl" with the word Bowl crossed out and replaced with "Wok".
over 6 years ago | Please don't remove the service=parking_aisle tags from parking aisles.
over 6 years ago | Can you explain what you're trying to do here? There's no point in breaking things into lots of little segments when all the tags are the same. It just bloats the database.
over 6 years ago | The Berkeley Travelodge ( way/401048831 ) is almost a textbook example of a motel, are you sure about changing it to tourism=hotel? Also, I'm not sure if Cafe Rio ( node/354703480/ ) has anything to do with that brand you added (it's not even mexican - it's sandwiches and breakfast stuff). This particular Peet's is still (as of three hours ago) branded as "Peet's Coffee & Tea": node/286081305
