Unfortunately there were some problems here. For example, most of the tags were deleted from Caffe Strada (including amenity=cafe...), the temporary bus platform at Shattuck & University was deleted, some completely unrelated/wrong brand/cuisine tags were added to Cafe Rio, the Golden Bear Cafe lost some of its info, the entrance to the Berkeley Art Museum was deleted, and the building passage tag was removed from the part of Sather Lane that passes through the building. I've fixed these.

It looks like you're using the id editor's validator. Please be careful - it can be useful, but it only reports *potential* issues, and isn't necessarily 100% correct.

access=private isn't the right tag to use here (it would be used where, for example, only employees or tenants could park). This is probably access=customers or access=permissive.

Is there a reason you deleted the East Bay Vivarium? I haven't heard anything about it closing.

Sprouts is in fact on university land, along with the rest of the shopping center, the senior housing complex, and University Village. I think the current outline was drawn before any of the new construction happened and should be updated. I haven't bothered with it yet since the term "Gill Tract" technically refers to the whole area around the village, and is also used to refer to the smaller agricultural area currently outlined, and sorting it out might take some work.

This looks like a private driveway rather than an actual street.

The name here was correct. Please be more careful before deleting things.

Are you sure about this? This block is clearly striped for two-way traffic (with a yellow line down the middle) in the most recent aerial imagery layers.

Instead of deleting the businesses completely, would you mind just removing the tags relevant to the business and leaving the node intact? That way we won't lose the address information, which doesn't change when a store closes.

Are you sure about the current name? When I passed here on Friday the new sign said "Tasty Wok". A week before there was a hand-written sign in the window that said "[something] Bowl" with the word Bowl crossed out and replaced with "Wok".

Please don't remove the service=parking_aisle tags from parking aisles.

Can you explain what you're trying to do here? There's no point in breaking things into lots of little segments when all the tags are the same. It just bloats the database.

The Berkeley Travelodge ( way/401048831 ) is almost a textbook example of a motel, are you sure about changing it to tourism=hotel? Also, I'm not sure if Cafe Rio ( node/354703480/ ) has anything to do with that brand you added (it's not even mexican - it's sandwiches and breakfast stuff). This particular Peet's is still (as of three hours ago) branded as "Peet's Coffee & Tea": node/286081305

Hi, you re-added highway=service tags to some now-demolished parking aisles in a construction site. That doesn't make any sense. They had been tagged as disused:highway specifically to prevent armchair mappers from re-adding them...

I don't think it's really accurate to call the tracks south of Warm Springs service=yard. They're part of the mainline and currently undergoing active train testing.

Also, every single BART station has the stop position at the front of the train. An argument could be made that they should be at the center instead, but for consistency it doesn't make sense to have only one side of one station mapped differently from the other 48+.

It looks like your recent edits here created some gaps in at least a couple of routes, and broke at least one of the Pittsburg-Bay Point route relations through Downtown Oakland (It was shown running on two parallel tracks(?) That's not accurate). Please be more careful; public transport routes are complicated and easy to mess up.

It would also be nice if your edit descriptions described what you were trying to do, instead of just mashing the keyboardhfivodhsf,

I see a number of stops here (and a few in other changesets) where you have removed the shelter=no tag. Please don't do that. It's just as valuable to know which bus stops *don't* have a shelter as it is to know which ones do, and people (ie, me) have spent time surveying these things.

You also moved node/5863027878 while removing a still pertinent note tag - if you look at it, it should be self-explanatory what the problem is there.

Regarding Peet's, which I'm very familiar with: their newer stores are generally signed as Peet's Coffee, while most of the older stores are still signed as Peet's Coffee & Tea, unless they've been renovated recently. One of the basic rules of OSM is to map what is on the ground. We should be showing the actual name found on the stores in the name=* tag, not the brand name, which is what the brand=* tag is for.

Regarding boutiques, I agree with you that the tag is ambiguous. It's not something I would choose to use if there was a better tag. It's precisely because of this ambiguity that simply doing an automated retagging to shop=clothes is problematic. They might sell a mix of things, or focus mainly on jewelry or accessories.

These stores are commonly known as "Cost Plus" or "Cost Plus World Market" in this area (where the chain started, as simply "Cost Plus"), and named (and advertised as) "Cost Plus World Market". It's unlikely anyone would know what you were talking about if you just called it "World Market". It would be like calling a Chipotle store "Mexican Grill". Please try to verify these names before changing them. Thank you.

(The original name was correct in this case).

Hi, some things went wrong here.

You added barrier=kerb to several crossing nodes which are not curbs. Added highway=footway to a number of piers, including large buildings on piers, piers which can not be walked upon, and piers that already had footways mapped separately.
You added highway=footway to train platforms, which is not typically how they're mapped, and erroneously removed highway=platform from bus boarding islands. You also added amenity=bus_station to some simple cable car stops, which was not correct. You changed the name of a couple of Peet's shops, which may or may not be correct, but looking at your editing history I'm guessing you're not local, and have not actually checked that these names were changed (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Also, some shops were changed from shop=boutique to shop=clothes, which are somewhat different concepts and need to be looked at individually.

You also changed a (probably mistagged) nonprofit office to office=government.

I've gone through all your recent edits in SF and fixed everything I saw that was obviously an error introduced by the validation software. Please be more careful.

Is this some kind of organized mass import? I've seen several very similar edits by yourself, @Dariaa_P , @Elinorzag , @AnnaTai , and possibly others, often with odd artificial-sounding names (like they were taken from some database of retail submarkets or something) and often/usually duplicating things which have already been mapped.
