Many rivers I have mapped have the centreline mapped in addition to the riverbank and in that case it makes more sense to have riverbank tagged as such, but I don’t see the centre line mapped here. I am using my phone and not a computer with an editor so may be an incomplete view. I won’t raise the issue on the newsgroup as there is a lot of info on the wiki, though I do find this subject uncertain.

I think the Brisbane River was probably tagged correctly before your change, though either method seems acceptable. I would try to make the tagging consistent along the lower part of the river with how others have mapped it. This might be a topic to raise in the talk.au newsgroup if you wish to clarify. I find the various methods of tagging waterways a bit unclear though not too disparate

I suggest using Esri imagery for better clarity (and possibly more recent too) and you will find there is a gap between two kindergarten polygons.
Polygons cannot share outer ways, so for the two kindergarten areas, it may be best to just make a single polygon surrounding all the kindergarten boundary as amenity=kindergarten

Then make the buildings in the kindergarten part separate and tagged as building=kindergarten or building=yes and the grassed play area as landuse=grass or maybe leisure=playground and access=private.

Regarding Mazenod, you will find the Esri imagery better. Again two outer ways in multipolygons cannot share borders.
So you may find it easiest just to have one polygon around the whole building or you could also still mark different parts of a building using 'building parts'

If two separately grouped multipolygons share a segment along part of their boundaries, you need to split the ways at each end of the shared bit, delete one of the segments and then share the remaining one in each multipolygon otherwise you will see OSMI Inpector show a 'duplicate segment' problem.
The ones you mapped are not like this.
These commonly crop up where for example, a National Park multipolygon shares part of a boundary with a State Forest.
