I have corrected the suburb case.

Also, could you check #24 Soudan Rd as I expect the large building may be a duplex with one side being #22 and the two smaller buildings nearer the roadway are garages for their cars.

It is less common here to enclose the front of residential property in a fence than in southern states.

you have mapped over 2100 fence lines so far. Almost all the ones drawn across the front of properties cut across footways and driveways where there is very often no fence present. If you are manually adding these, it would seem to me to be not much effort to map only where a fence is present.

Osm only has a separate way mapped where there is a physical separation like a cement or metal barrier. The convention is not to draw a separate way based on line painting alone, even if solid white or double lines.

The ones you have changed appear to have been mapped correctly before you changed them. That is, they were only drawn as a separate way from where there was a physical barrier.
OSM is not intuitive in this regard, but I have been unable to find guidance in regard to this on the osm wiki as yet and will post a link if I find it.

I guess it is not really important but more of a convention to use uppercase for names.

Syntax is important for the osm database.
addr:suburb=west footscray
should be West Footscray
ie the name should begin with uppercase letters.

I guess that's ok as the boundary is mapped anyway
